Saleen Black Label
I just filled out a request form for more info to be sent to my home on the S302 Black Label. I LOVE the way this car looks. And the power and torque are right there with the 2015 RS3 with the possible Phase 2 upgrade. (Not positive on HP and TQ numbers on the Phase 2 kit as it isn't out yet for the 2015 RS3, but it is "expected" to be around 700 or more HP and 600 lb.s of TQ.) Either the 2015 RS3 with a Phase 2/possibly Phase 3 or the Saleen Black Label would be killer.
But,...the price of 73k isn't really that bad of a price for what you're getting. If you order one of the custom paint option colors that Saleen offers, (which there are a lot of),......they do A LOT to the car. Engine comes out as does the transmission and other parts as well. Gets painted the custom paint, wet sanded and all that jazz to make it look superb. Then, it gets reassembled and interior gets fitted with Katzkins leather and alcantra inserts. Don't forget your performance parts as well and all that labor. A GREAT paint job can cost you about 15k alone when all is said and done. The front end is pretty much replaced. Plus,.....the Kenne Bell/Saleen supercharger AT IDLE whistle is worth the price of admission alone.
Also, IIRC, I think this car makes the most HP and TQ for a Mustang to date that is available for sale to the public.
I would love to see one on the dyno just to see what it puts down for power and torque at the wheels. If you live in an area like I do that offers 93 and 94 octane,.....the horsepower rating jumps up from 730 to 750.

And for reasons stated above.
I'm glad you like it, Stage_3...........it really is one of my favourite S550s and I think Saleen nailed this one. Sounds like you're very tempted, so keep us posted!
Roush was my favourite aftermarket S197 for the 13/14MY, but the Saleen Black Label takes those honours for '15MY, in my opinion.
That "California Sunset" paintjob is the icing on the cake for me.
A few more images I've pulled from the 'net in recent days

I am tempted. I've sent away for some more info/material. (Of course, that all depends on what I get for my car. Looking to pay it off hopefully early next year.) I may buy a new daily driver instead, not sure yet. So many options. LOL
These photos were from Ford Nationals in Carlisle, correct? I saw them on the Saleen website.
Yeah,...the best looking '15 model in my opinion. I do like the GT350 though. I didn't think I would, but it's not too bad. Just don't like the lacking torque. Although, I do know it's a "track car" and track cars don't need gobs of power and torque. I don't track my cars. I like street warriors.
Man,.....I can't stop thinking about this car! lol I love it.
(Actually going to send out another 2 payments on the Roush early Monday morning on the way to work. One step closer to paying it off.) The only thing that makes me nervous is the bankruptcy issue hanging over Saleen and it's track record with bankruptcy issues.
The looks, the stance, the carbon fiber, the supercharger whistle at idle, the power/torque, the interior. I love it. The most powerful Mustang available to the public to date, unless the Shelby SuperSnake can top the 750HP/600TQ numbers.

Very smitten Tom.
I've been doing a lot of reading and such. I do like that color A LOT. It's made of three different colors with a lot of metallic flake in it. It's yellow, gold and orange, I do believe. I do like Competition Orange as well. There are A LOT of colors to chose from.I just don't know how it works if I were to trade my car in for one of them. I've written to 2 dealerships already. One is no longer a Saleen dealership any more and the other I haven't heard back from yet.
(I'll email him again today.

)I also wouldn't count on hearing from the other dealer in question anytime soon either.. Btw: did you read the link I provided on the other Saleen thread yet ?
That really is a stunning paint color, but I believe it's something like $20k for one of their special jobs!!!
I have to say, this remains my favourite S550 to date!
Here's another great shot

Hopefully someone will get back to you but, if not, contact Steve's daughter Molly via Facebook

Been there, done it.. As your chances of contacting Molly Saleen are just as great as contacting Steve Saleen himself.. As in Nada, Zip, Zero..
Tony ! And yet I wonder why your one dealership is no longer a Saleen dealership ? sounds real familiar doesn't lol.
I also wouldn't count on hearing from the other dealer in question anytime soon either.. Btw: did you read the link I provided on the other Saleen thread yet ?

Yes Rocky. I did read that link that you provided. (And other links that I have Googled on my own.) That's why I stated in an earlier post that I was a little nervous about the current bankruptcy and past bankruptcies as well.
Plus,..........I don't know how it works, especially if I have a car to trade towards the Saleen. I may have to sell it outright, which is a pain in the *****, and am not interested in doing AT ALL. I tried doing that with the previous car. Finally I just traded it in and still got a smoking trade/deal on the RS3.
I'm just looking for a little more information/pricing on the options that I want on the car at this point. Just browsing,...............lol

As for trading your car in towards a Saleen goes ? That may also be difficult as well, unless you're able to locate a Ford/Saleen dealership in which there are none that I'm aware of that are within Pennsylvania anymore..
Perhaps the one Saleen dealership you recently sent an E-mail also has a phone number ? I suggest contacting them by phone if it's possible and see if you can get a faster response

Being as you have an RS3 Roush, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a really great deal for it on trade in, especially if it has low mileage..
In the meantime, I really hope everything works out and that your able to get a positive response
I know exactly where your coming from Tony, as it can be very difficult when it comes to selling your car outright, especially when it's been modified unless it's somebody that you happen to know who knows the history of the car and that it was neither beaten or abused..

I have 2 more emails out today. Both dealerships are closed on Sundays, so we'll see what happens. If it happens, it happens. If not,..no biggie.
And yes, my RS3 is very well kept, is super clean and has super low mileage. Under 2k in mileage and I got her in 2013. lol
I wouldn't undersell myself on the Roush either. I'd have to get a respectable dollar figure. Thanks again bud!
A car like that with the custom paint is taken apart to be painted, sanded and all that good stuff and then re-assembled. So,..it could be a little "off". lol
If I'm spending 80K on a Mustang, I want that sucker to be PERFECT!

I also had no doubt that your Roush RS3 is very well kept and also has really low mileage, so I definitely would not settle for anything less than getting a respectable dollar figure either, as your RS3 is considered as a collectible IMHO..
In the meantime, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hope that everything works out for you regarding Saleen

.
