Ecoboosts are putting down 270whp with a tune only.. once the aftermarket support catches up I expect they will see over 300whp pretty easily. To me, that's pretty respectable.

Obviously the OP works for Ford and is doing his job pushing products. As for me... the only buzzing sound i want to hear is from my microwave

I've had 3 V8 Mustangs, a V6 Mustang & a 4 cylinder Mustang.

I don't think all Mustangs need to be fast. I enjoyed all of my Mustangs, regardless of engine. Sure my supercharged 5.8 blows the 4 cyl out of the water. But it doesn't mean the 4 wasn't fun to drive.

This weekend I drove both our 13 GT500 & our 88 GT. The fox is so different than the 13. It's so torquey & snaps right through the gears. It's fun to drive.

As for the new Mustangs. I still don't know which I'd choose. If we keep our GT500, I'd most likely get the turbo 4. I can't wait to actually drive the new cars.

Depending on what issues / hangups these ecoboosts have, I'll be looking to lease one in the near future, looks like a fun ride

Hi Jonathon,

Here is a great video I found. It shows the advantages and disadvantages of the EB car on the street and the tack. Particularly at 11:46 is a lap time comparison of a few competing cars VS the 2015 EB. Still think you want the EB car over the 5.0, or would you rather just stick your foot in your moth? There is something to be said about objective journalism...

Enjoy the video:

First year of a new generation is ALWAYS more expensive. They get more options and discounts later in the cycle (buy a new one in 3 years and you'll get more bang for your buck).
