It works fine if you lay the assembly on the grass and step on the spring as you hit it with the impact.....the dangerous part is getting it back together using a tractor bucket, blocks of wood and a friend or two

jeez, if you're not going to use a spring compressor, then at least leave the assembly in the car and lower the A arm with a jack so the spring relaxes slowly in a controlled manner and can't go anywhere.

where is the fun in that?? lol

this is drive through type car service, who has times for spring compressors these days anyways

I find the easiest way is to remove the assembly, take it to a tire shop and let them swap them for me, then reinstall it myself. easier than renting a spring compressor.

Met that guy at a party once...we were bs'ing when he says in a heavy Oklahoma drawl "I'd like you to meet my wife and sister".

I turned and there was only one girl standing there.

Later in the evening he introduced me to his sons...said "This here's Walker" (who turned out to be a real nice kid but I couldn't help noticing he had his shoes on the wrong feet), "and this little guy's Texas Ranger".
