How To: Completely Disassemble the Rear Caliper including Emergency Brake Bracket
thanks for posting
why did you need to disassemble the caliper?
(yeah, I didn't watch the video)
Regarding the GT500 rotor mod -- are you using the aftermarket brackets from the guy on e-bay, or the Ford kit? I used the brackets from e-bay years ago and have had no noticeable problems with them, including several track days. The bigger rotors definitely helped with the hot rear brakes problem on the road track.

All good. I am having them sandblasted and powercoated and I wanted them to be disassembled completely so that there were absolutely no spots without color. The calipers themselves will be a bright gloss red, while the braking hardware will be zinc plated.
As I was disassembling them, I could see that the previous owner gave it the rattle can treatment and there was a lot of over spray
Naturally they didn't want to take the brakes apart and remove the calipers from the closed system. So I get it

I cleaned my calipers and applied KBS coatings Diamond Clear. While doing it I inadvertently got some on my bench top and didn't notice it. A couple weeks past by and I tried to get it off with various solvents Xylene, lacquer thinner etc. That stuff will NOT come off! Not a big mess just a ring from the lid top I guess. The calipers look awesome but don't let that stuff dry where you don't want it.
