Seriously, we dated for several years but never lived together. I have leaned that folks go through a "production phase" in their relationship. Be careful!

They portray the person you want until they slowly gain control over you, your money, and how often you can ****.

I woke up one day like half of Americans and said "I want out!"

The best was when she told me I wasn't allowed to get fat. Lol

Having a chili dog now.

There better be some cheese on that! lol

Like what was said earlier, I think my Mustang sends off the message of youth. Since most people get a Mustang in their mid-life crisis, I would say it embodies the young mindset: care-free, stress-free, pollution worry-free. lol

I've had a Mustang since I was 17...

My dad's first 3 cars were Mustangs, then a Capri, then another Capri, then another Mustang and he hasn't had one since. My mom had the 2000 V6 that ended up being mine when she got her new Focus.

She spent all of her fathers 401k and savings and still ended up losing in the end in court. All that money used for revenge. So sad. These days, She continues to harass me and my new wife with allegations, program my daughter to hate me, and basically try to ruin my life...it doesn't phase me. Lol My Mustang was actually used against me in court. Her attorney used it to paint me as a "narcissistic person with an expensive car." I still rejoice when I hear the judge says "he bought his son the same car" in my mental replay. Even attorney think people who drive Mustangs have coin. In the end I say: Focus on your children and family. Let those superficial people foolishly focus on being jealous of your car or house as they waste their lives. Meanwhile the clock ticks for all of us...our children grow, we age, we make precious memories, our memories live through our children, not a vehicle or house. Rejoice in your children! I bring up my ex because she's a good example of this lesson I had to learn. You spend your time focusing on someone else's life, you neglect your own. Time waits for no man. How did you spend yours?

On that note, Her attorney actually scheduled a whole hearing on the basis that my child support should be calculated on what college degrees I have/highest recorded salaries for these degrees...and NOT my current income for the past 3 years. She felt that I should be paying more so she "can have more financial freedom and travel." This statement alone sank her ship in the courtroom as the judge admonished her for not even mentioned our daughter and how the money should be used to support her not the lazy mother. They even went after my wife's money that day! I'm all about being self sufficient and not getting hand outs. I teach my daughter that anything of worth in this life comes from hard work. She wants a Mustang for her first car and she will earn it by working for it. I will not give it to her with a bow on it in some cheesy "16 b-day" way. P.s. The judge actually cut my support payments in half ... Told me I had been paying too much for too long! Go figure.
Even better!

I guess so. Are there any Stang clubs or meet ups around Lower Mainland? I'm planning to sign up for New West downtown show and shine sometime this summer. See you around

That is seriously messed up.

You sound like a smart guy with goals and financial discipline.

I would get my resume in order, move on, and leave a big smoky burnout in the boss's parking spot to remember you by as you leave.

Who knows? In a few years maybe you can have your Pilot buzz the old office in your Gulfstream G650ER in route to meet up with your yacht in Monaco.
Yep i second that well said. Enjoy your '14 ride and dont let anyone drag you down keep rocking!

I bought my Mustang with leftover inheritance money after I'd cleared my debts, topped off my retirement account, bought a house, and got a promotion at work. Probably wouldn't be buying it without the inheritance (at least not for a few more years). Doesn't matter where the money comes from. It's your money. There's people in my neighborhood with massive 4000 sq. ft. houses and two 10 year old Corolla's parked in the driveway. I don't judge them by their houses, they wanted a big house, and just need to get to the place they need to be to pay the mortgage. They can't judge me by my car. My wife encouraged me to spend some of the money on this car, she wanted me to buy myself a present that made me happy. She even setup the meeting with her co-worker's dad, who's the sales manager at a Ford dealer. I'm blessed to have what I have, but in order to get it I literally stood beside both my parents, two years apart, as they took their last breaths at age 64. So anybody that says I did it the easy way doesn't know me enough to make that judgement.

No way does it make me feel rich. It's a Ford Mustang, not a Mercedes AMG or Ferrari.

With that said, it sure is a confidence boost driving a nice car. My 5.0 makes me cocky at times as well

Still waiting on it to get here, but my dealer and Deysha told me yesterday it's in town, but not at the dealer yet. It's a Black GT 401A with Track Pack, Shaker Pro and backup cam.
