wait a minute........you used honest and dealer together. I will say it again. If the Dealer dose not know what allocation they have then something is wrong! It's there buiness to know what happing. They sell cars, this is why they call themselves Dealers. Would you hire a plumber or electrican who didnt know his trade. Come on>>>>>who is jerking who. My dealer @ DANA FORD explained everything up front about allocations. Dana Ford was not honest. They just did there job as a profesinoals. I paid alittle above MSRP but have been given one of the best sales on the 2012 Boss. I was informed that my car was a Q2 build back in Febuary. My dealer Told me when the order was placed that I can expect nothing untill May. They even wrote that on my purchase agreement. Everything has gone like clock work. My Vin # was issuied on April 5 and My Boss was built on 4/21/11 and is now on a train heading to NJ. Delivery is set for May 13. What blows my mind is how everyone says they have a Q1 or Q2 build but whats for real, they dont know. Paying a few bucks above MSRP and getting the truth is money well spent!! I rather invest in quality sales personal then claim you got the best deal around BUT STILL HAVE NO BOSS!!!!!! I will say a pray for all of the future boss owners that are getting Jerked around by Dealers........Sorry>>>>>Honest Dealers.
Wake up and smell the OCTANE people!
If I'm wrong then how can anyone explain how my purchase and others of the 2012 Boss gone like clock work. Luck is not an answer! Remember your dealer is working for you. You are part of his pay check. Ford has put there very best behind the 2012 Boss to create the best mustang of its time. This I truly belive, thats why I purchased one. Remember, If your dealer told you that it's a Q1 build. Then the dealer KNOWS how the allocations work. I will stop here because this just tweaks my assests. If you want the professional it will cost more$$$$$$ other wise hire the Handy man!!! Buyer be ware.

Wow really? You need a reading lesson. I said honest mistake not honest dealers. BTW there are plenty of honest dealers out there. And stop sniffing the octane, there was a lot of confusion on the allocation process back in November 2010 when the order banks opened. Welcome to the party.

Every future Boss owner will have laid out a nice chunck of change for the best Mutang to hit the street. They desrive an honest answer as to were there car really is.
It's not just the dealers that can be confused. Apparently the local Zone Rep needs better organizational skills. After calling my dealer to CONFIRM which Boss order he wanted built next, the rep pulled the wrong order!!!
Fortunately the other customer has excellent taste, and ordered the identical car.
So I get their order...

I've been told something very similar. The dealer where I have my order said their rep inquired last week and this week about their only Boss order, mine, so I'm hopeful it will be pulled very soon.

So say you ordered your Q2 Boss and 6 weeks later the owner’s grandson (or an ADM buyer) orders the other Q2 Boss allocation, the grandson (or other) could get his car earlier than you….

and 5 DOT O. I have been reliably told if a dealer has multiple orders in the order bank (say for example 2 Boss allocations for Q2 builds), THE DEALER gets to prioritize which car is built/delivered first. Not the zone. The dealer assignes a priority code (1-100) on the order and when the zone calls up and says they are ready to build one of their allocations, they verify the sequence the dealer wants their orders built/delivered.

In any case if there is only one allocation in the order bank the priority point is moot.
Hope you get your car soon!
I have also been told that Ford will be cleaning out all Q1 builds before they start on scheduled Q2 units.
That may be correct. I will check out this detail.

I was told in December I was Q1 with a late March or early April delivery. After almost 4 months of waiting I finally found out from my dealer three weeks ago I was moved back to Q3. Now I have a new order from a different dealer with a stand up guy with great communication with a June Delivery at MSRP. I know what you guys going through and hope what happened to me is a isolated situation. Good luck!
Message me your new order info so I can track it for you.

Deysha
Q1 car being built this week
I suspect that the last of the 'Q1' orders are running through this week...maybe next week latest.
I'm lucky enough to have my Q1 car built at the very end of the darn cycle...I wonder if it'll be worth more ;-)
at least it looks like it's going to get built...but darn, the wait is painful.
