I think it was because of the tires and car height. There's a car wash I use that works fine as long as I take my louver off. Those stripes weren't glued down very well, the adhesive gave out. Unless they had some pretty aggressive brushes.

That was primarily related to the guide rails on the ones that pull your car through. There are possible clearance issues due to the Boss being lowered or especially if you have the LS splitter. I have driven mine through a touchless automatic car wash probably 100 times with absolutely no issues. They also warn against using a pressure washer too close to the stripes.

Thank you!!! The manual states no car wash for the tires and suspension. I believe the decals s/b able to survive a simple car wash?!? I think it was faulty glue because there was NO residue left after the decal was ripped away! It also tore off into little pieces and those labels are tough!

The car wash places, unless it is one where you use their hose and brush and wash it yourself, are way to rough on a car for me to use. I purposely do not use them because they leave the tiny micro scratches on vehicles. My dealership changed to these type of car washes and when they washed my truck like a year ago, I could tell the change. Microscratches all over my truck. I never took the truck through the washes and always did it at home, or let the dealship do it. I told Ford NO WASH when I took my Boss in for an oil change. I would think any car wash that uses brushes or water under pressure should be avoided. You might go through one or ten times ok, but the brushes could be doing damage a little at a time.

Not sure what you are laughing at, my stripes are still in tact? Brushless uses water under pressure, can have the same affect as brushes?

Been meaning to ask, but is it something with your phone that makes so many of your posts have question marks?

It's the high powered water that you need to be careful of

So you're saying that you use brush car washes and your stripes are ok? Wow no disrespect I just thought that brushless would be more abusive?!?

Occasionally, mostly when I am testing out new parts or bedding in brake pads and rotors. Car is very street able, gets a lot of thumbs ups from the kids.

Rolled over 5k miles on friday, treated her to her first oil change yesterday. It was one of the most painless oil changes i have ever done. I would go as far to say it was even fun

I wish I had $1 for every time I've read that statement on internet forums.
