Probably a great solution.

I just can't embrace the LOOKS of the LS or I would likely be buying ours.

If it's not to late you can order from one dealer and ship from the factory to a local dealer

Only if the local dealer is willing to do a courtesy delivery.

FWIW we don't do them.

I am not crazy about the red. I did like the photoshopped black on black LS.

As soon as I get a build date, I will be ordering the splitter, brake ducts, and tranny cooler!

And I'm sure not to many NY dealers will either, especially after I cancel my 4th Q order

It's just not worth it for the delivering dealer. A VERY small courtesy delivery fee. IIRC .5 hours in service (PDI) and a couple hundred bucks.

Hopefully I won't have to find out

I'm fine with going to pick it up a couple of hundred miles from home. It'll be a jump on the break-in period

I just don't see it that way. What about the goodwill that it provides for either a past or hopefully future customer? If my local dealer would have refused, that would have been the last vehicle that I would have bought from them.

I can kind of see your point if they are purchasing a car from another dealer that they could have bought from your dealer. It's kind of a different situation but still don't agree.

Especially in NY, it's easier just to go pick it up than have a dealer treat me like I O him something because he took delivery of a car for me

Dean you're absolutely right on this. I had to buy my GT500 from a small dealer out of state. My local dealer didn't have enough allocation, but they completely understood why I had to buy the car out of state and bring it back here. They bent over backwards on all the TSBs and clutch/transmission warranty claims to make me happy. I've bought SEVEN Fords from them in the past THREE years because of the great service.
