Spare tire
#2
its an air compressor, with fix-a-flat stuff inside. it only shows where the hole is, it doesn't fix anything. I know this because I got to use mine within the 1st 150 miles of owning my Boss. get an old school tire repair kit and put that in the trunk with it.

I like road trips and don't like tire slime so need a spare.

I use a 2007 GT500 wheel and tire, 18 x 9.5
It fits perfectly in the wheel well, and sticks up about an inch, but then you have the carpet covering it, so it really doesnt show.
I bought a jack on SVTPerformance, and took the bolt holding down the air compressor, and had it lengthened about 3 inches, to now clear thru the jack and spare, and use the round washer and wing nut on top.

So I take it the cover board isn't flush with the trunk floor.

I've used it to pump up a tire after I plugged it, and when I had the tire removed later on there was no slime inside the tire
It's just an air compressor.

I've used my pump a couple of times and I don't remember seeing that second hose, but I know for sure that at least 1 of the hoses (if there are 2) distributes air only.

There is a thread somewhere referencing a thread on another forum detailing what to get from discount tire. It's an 18" Drag (brand name) wheel and the cheapest narrowest tire they carry that fits on the rim. I went that route. I put the wheel on to make sure it fit properly over the brembo caliper and then removed it. It's not a full size spare, but being a real wheel and tire it is light years better than a mini spare or fix a flat.

The problem is what fits in the well does not clear the brembo calipers up front. So either you live with the possibility of needing to change two tires or the spare sitting a bit high.
