Spare Tire and Wheel for BOSS confirmed
Based on a link from this forum to AllFordMustangs I ordered a spare tire and wheel that works for a 2011 GT w/Brembos from Discount Tire Direct. Last night I mounted it to the front and rear of BOSS #0377 and it fit. The part numbers I used and a few technical details follow:
1) I used the jack from my Escape (I have a jack on order for the BOSS) at the notches provided by Ford to jack it up. They are just behind the front wheel and just in front of the side exhaust. There isn't a lot of room, but the jack has a plate about 1.5" square on top that just fits into those notches without damaging the bottom side mouldings.
2) The BOSS wheels have nuts that require a 13/16" socket. The spare takes a 3/4" socket so you'll need both sizes and an extension (2" or so).
3) The Drag wheel uses a spacer to properly fit to the Mustang hub and it is a tight fit. I ended up putting the spacer on the hub first and then mounting the wheel. I used the nuts to gradually draw the wheel onto the spacer/hub. I used a feeler guage to check the gap between the wheel and the hub to keep it going on straight. When I did that I got a good flush fit of the Drag wheel to the Mustang hub. It worked on both the front and rear hubs. The offset looks to be about right, and the tire OD matches the OD of the standard rear tire within less than 0.1" (according to the AllFordMustangs data.)
4) The tire and wheel fit in the spare tire compartment in the trunk under the mat...kind of. It is a tight fit and the mat is maybe 1" elevated by the tire and wheel combo, but everything seems to sit well. The standard Mustang J-bolt, washer and wing nut hold the tire and wheel in place. I haven't figured out where to mount the jack yet, but there is room under the tire. I'll just have to keep it from rattling.
5) My Invoice number from Discount Tire Direct was #6046138 and my Order was #3166256. They can probably reproduce the order from that data, but if not here's what I got:
PART # QUANTITY DESCRIPTION
31764 (1) P225/50R18 94T B PON GOODYEAR EAGLE LS2

I hope anyone who wants a spare tire and wheel (not just and air pump and a prayer) finds this to be useful.

Jack number
The number for the Mustang jack is 4R3Z-17080-AA (and it works OK) It does not come with alug wrench. BUT the jack from my Escape also worked, and had the handle and lug wrench clipped in little plastic brackets. The Escape jack also was a bit heavier and worked a little easier. The number I listed above is the jack my Ford dealer said fits all 2012 Mustangs. I does work, i just liked the Escape jack better.

Not a bad looking wheel, either...

I just ordered a 2011 jack, lug wrench, hold down from the ford dealer online that offered the cheapest price at the time. It depends on the particular options if a mustang comes with a jack/spare or the inflation kit theses days.
I still have to decide what to do wheel and tire wise... go the drag wheel route or track pack wheel or just pick up a spare set of brembo wheels from someone who doesn't want them.

Anyone know if the 'standard spare tire' from a 2011 Mustang fit on a 2012 Mustang V6 Performance Package? On the front or back, with the performance package disk brakes? In the trunk spare tire area?

Can the spare tire kit be used on the track pack cars. Will the 17 wheel affect the rear differential? searched to find a good answer if you get a flat in the front move the tire from the rear and put the 17 spare on the back.
What ill affects? The torsen diff should accommodate the different size wheels from what I'm reading. Or I'm off base.
Anyone doing this option.
