Yep, Ryan Kertz designed & used materials that comply with NASA/SCCA specs so that down the road we can add halo, forward bars & door bars without re-working the roll bar if I decide to go that far in the future

and the red paint is a nice touch. I was wondering about the adaptability. That was smart to give yourself the future flexibility to make it an all out race car.

Thanks, at first i didnt want to do the red, but ryan talked me into it, it turned out great and now I am glad I went with it. I really cant give Kertz enough credit for the job he did, not only did it turn out great but he had it done on the exact schedule he laid out when we were planning it

It wasn't cheap @ 1800.00 but that is actually reasonable for the quality of the work and attention to detail. Would have been substantially less if I was going "race" and gutting the interior, but having it incorporated into the car with a "factory look" is what really took the time and $$$.

Three weeks to get it done, which was exactly what they said it would take. One week of that was having to be sent out for powder coat. Cortex racing also at Sears Point (Infinion) was also doing some things on the car during that time also.

Again I couldn't be happier with how it turned out

I did a write-up of mine back in '09. My goal was to have an easy to install/remove option that didn't mangle the car, yet was more robust than an Autopower rollbar. It's been over 2 years of using it and it has been flawless. Easy to install before a track day and easy to remove it once I get home.

Are you painting it black or YB? I think the red looks good in the LS because it follows the roof color. Mine just came in yesterday and I'm going to get started on it tomorrow. I am going to paint mine black, but did entertain the idea of painting it CO.

Tough call...... The reason it looks so good in red on the LS is because the red is an accent color on the outside and then you use it on the inside to contrast the black.

I think the Orange would look good.... But black definitely would as well. It is bolt in....

I am excited to see the finished product regardless! Good luck.
