Remove the Discs!
#121
I'll be back to get more runs in, and I'll be sure to hook up all the sensors, guys.
Here's the video of the runs: https://themustangsource.com/f813/vi...5/#post6053419

Who was it that removed the discs, and then put them back in? I remember thinking at the time their reason made sense to me. I'm not planning to do anything with the discs until I hear the TracKey effect. My garage is literally 10 feet away from my neighbor's house, and I go for my weekend drives before they're awake...

Well, don't laugh at these, I don't have a machine shop in the garage but I am making a few sets out of aluminum. Going to try tomorrow to install them and if a friend stops by I can post up some vids. I have the originals and a set at 1/2 and 3/4 done. Should also be able to try 1" since I will just open the 1/2 up more, I doubt they will be loud enough for me.
When I find what works for me I will make one good set and be done with it.

Cut-out availability?
Any update on the availability date of the cut-outs? This thread seems to have gone "silent."
Thanks

Guys
A little heads up for you. We just got back from Detroit. We did a test fit on the Boss 302 exhaust at Ford. We are building electric cutouts for Ford Racing. It is a brand new style since the exhaust uses a 2 bolt design. Came out very nice and fits very well. It also sound very nice open. Nice a deep rumble.
They should be available from Ford Racing in 30-45 days.
I will try to get a picture of it in the next day or so.

Boss 302 QTP Electric Cutouts Rock!
I now have the QTP Electric Cutouts installed - the best of all worlds - open all the way or reduce side exit volume (sound) to less than stock.... all with the press of a button.
The cutouts simply replace the stock spacer in the side exhaust pipes - a very easy/clean install. Here's a couple of quick pictures (before and after) _and_ a short video (on a lift) capturing changing the side exhaust from all the way closed to all the way open.

Sorry for the delay guys. We just moved to our new building and the construction is going slower than expected. We do not even have our lift set up because we want to epoxy the floors and make it look nice. We have about 200 sets done. Just have not made the instructions for it. So if you want to buy with out directions give us a call and we can give you a price.
Thanks

I ask because I'm adding the Boss quad pipes to my GT500 and had to shorten them a little. I believe the "H" section of my pipe is located further back than where it is on the Boss. I just want to verify that I'll still have ample clearance for your cutouts. The following shots show mockup when the quad pipes are bolted in at the rocker and where the H-section flanges end up (too far forward).
So I shortened the quad pipes by about three inches each and then welded them back up
I just want to verify that the revised potential location for your cutout has enough clearance. That's why I'm asking for dimensions.
Looks great!
