Ran CCW C14 one piece 11/18 on GT3 weighed right at 21#s. I can live with that. The 3 piece Classic CCW will not clear the Boss front brakes. Now nothing against Enkei as I run them on the M3 TTC car so far they have held up fine on the track.

Mine are the same... 17x9 at 20lbs with ARP hardware and 'weight reduction' (ie: More holes).... of course, now, they are about 22 lbs with all the rubber buggers on the back of them

I'd still like to rock a set if he'd do them in Competition Orange

My Enkei PF01 18 x 9.5 are 20lbs and 18 x 10.5 are 21 lbs. I have a few thousand track miles on them and abuse the curbs. No issues whatsoever.

Gary, is your Boss better than your GT500?

Not without TracKey Of course it's better, it' the best Mustang ever built . The only things better about the GT500 are the stereo and the violent straight line acceleration, and that's only because of thousands of dollars of mods and you still can't hook it up in 1st or 2nd and sometimes 3rd depending on temperature.

Ahem, yes, back on track (heh, sorry )...

...in the description for the BBS wheels mentioned earlier, it states that different lugs are required. First of all, is this for certain? I only ask because I thought I had read that it wasn't necessary. If it is required, does that mean that the OEM wheels will no longer work? I'm sure that seems like a dumb question, but I'm an Audi guy - we don't use lugs, just lug bolts, so I'm still learning.

When I was researching them back in December, 2010, Rehagen said the following regarding spacers and studs. You can use the stock studs if you stick with their spacer recommendations:

"Spacer is for tire to strut clearance. It is too tight clearance with the 275 on the front. Due to Grand Am rules package, all wheels where built to rear dimensional specifications. All the race cars run spacers. Actually, the newer cars have the spacer built into the front rotor hat. We go thicker than 1/4" on our cars because we use the longer studs, but 1/8"-1/4" is the max we recommend for stock-studded cars.

-Dean"

You do need the special lugs.

"Cost for the lug nuts are $20 for a set (all four wheels)"

Thanks for the tech, Gary! I'm sure it was your original post that I remembered.

Still thinking 302R street/track replica suits me.

The 302R BBS wheels (M-1007-R1810) are drilled for 5/8 studs and have a racing lug nut bevel of 45 degrees. A regular wheel lug nut has a 60 degree bevel or cone angle. Racing wheels typically have a 45 degree cone angle.

The BBS wheels can be used with ½ inch studs and the appropriate lug nut. The lug nuts used on the 302R are made by Allstar Performance, part number ALL44102. The lug nuts are sold in sets of 10. Summit Racing has them for $9.99 / set. These lug nuts have a ½” – 20 threads per inch, just like the stock studs. The lug nuts are open ended and are bright plated zinc finished. A 1” socket is used to tighten these lug nuts.

Without a wheel spacer on my LS, the front wheel clearance between the edge of the BBS rim and the strut is approximately ¼”. Clearance with the stock LS wheels is about ½ “. So a ¼” wheel spacer comes close to restoring the stock clearance on a Boss LS. I would suspect it is similar on a non-LS Boss since the front wheel offsets are the same as the Boss LS

If it's not they have 9.5's and 11's with the proper offset and guys have been running them. They are about $1,500 a set.
