If I would not have gotten my Boss...

I've been lured into GM cars time to time over the years, some of their models are unique and very cool. I even did a stint as a GM technician trainer for a while. One thing is consistent, many of their designs are awesome, but the execution sucks. Their cars literally fall apart as you drive them. Rattles, squeaks, and strange failures have plagued the GM cars I have owned. I kind of figured that out in the 60's and 70's when they couldn't get the case hardening right on a camshaft for 10+ years. Yet despite all the bashing I get from the GM people I get about Ford, my cars have been rock solid, dependable, well built cars. I don't mind having to put a MGW shifter in a car brand new, is it right, no. But at least I'm not dealing with electrical gremlins like the Corvette which some idiot engineer decided to put the PCM directly BELOW the leaky side post battery! I'm done with GM, no matter how pretty they look.

I get this question a lot. In hindsight I would have kept my 2006 Evolution SE and paid it off. Then I probably would have used the money I spent on the Boss to pick up a used GTR. The entire Boss experience has been absolutely worth sacrificing the Evo and delaying the GTR.

If I would not have gotten my Boss... I would have bought a Camaro, which I did. And then a few months later I bought my Boss 302. Slept even better ever since.
Now that **** new Stingray is whispering in my ears.

In that whispering did you hear the price tag on it...

I wasn't even looking for a car but when I seen a Sterling silver brembo GT with over 400hp at a dealer one day I started to read up on the Mustangs. Then I fell in love with the RR Boss. End of story. The money wasn't earning anything anyway.

If I wouldn't have bought my Boss (2 weekends ago), I was looking at an '11-'12 Shelby GT500 or a '14 Track Pack, Recaro GT.
I actually ordered a DIB '14 GT a month-ish ago but canceled it a few days later because I wanted to hold out a little longer... I'm really, REALLY, glad I did!
