Perhaps it was a staged shot for the show.

It's entirely possible. I think that would have cost Ford a fair bit of money to arrange that though, what with the logistics and union labour involved.

I think AAI is a bit better set up for public relations activities than the previous Dearborn Assembly Plant was. I remember when the first Mach 1s came off the line. It was a staged event because they had already built a number of the first production Mach 1s before the "show".

I believe the main problem to overcome was to not inhibit the line movement, which they were able to do by shooting during a planned downtime.

I could live with that, but what worries me is the Boss is starting out as a GT Premium which is exactly what your original sticker shows. I hope they can change the wording based on a rapid spec option, and not be stuck with the wording based on the body type that starts the order. iirc, Shelby had their own body type. I hope somebody who appreciates Mustangs is in charge of the Window Sticker. aisb, I'm just being picky.

The weird thing is that the car isn't actually a Premium, it's a base GT.

This whole process has been confusing. I think my dealer is tired of hearing from me - I'm surprised they haven't blocked my phone number.

Don't sweat it. It doesn't really matter at all, it won't change the car you receive, nor the smile on your face when you pull out of the dealership!!!

That Z28 is going to be a beast, but it's aimed more at blowing away the GT500 than the BOSS. The Z28 doesn't seem to have any real orientation towards track-driving etc.
