I'm assuming this "S" model will not wear a VIN, so it won't be street legal.

It's just a ready built race car available through Ford Racing. Similar to the Cobra Jet, but this one is for road racing. No VIN, limited to 50 units.

Cool, overall I like it.

Two small details though:
LOL at the 5w-20 oil cap
Hood fitment really sucks on the 'passenger' side

Good factory-built option for true racers that don't have the cash to sustain Grand/Am competition.

I wonder if there will be a BOSS Spec racer series like the (now-defunct) Mustang Challenge for the FR500S

I've heard that the Mustang Challenge series was mainly supported by Larry Miller, and since his death Ford has no wish to continue something similar. I think they will focus on providing cars for customers who want to race in SCCA and NASA classes.

This coming from a GT500 owner

I kid. I too wish I had money enough to sustain a car like this. It will never happen in my life time. I've accepted that I will never race in anything other than weekend freelance, even if that happens. Guess I should take the Honda into SCCA.

This does remind me of a little less than a BOSS 302R, and like the FR500S. I would take an FR500S. I just want a race car. But I'll settle with what I can get.

Were do you suppose I could get some information on this particular car's JRZ struts/shocks? Cost, extended/compressed length, spring free-length, camber plates, etc. Besides the obvious, calling JRZ.

I would hazzard to guess that this may also be suited for FIA GT3/GT4 class racing in Europe.

Which model has JRZ's?? I was sponsored by RaceComp Engineering and had custom JRZ RS Pro's on my STi autocross car. Myles said if I wanted to autocross the Boss we could talk about JRZ's for it!!! Time for a phone call!!

Surprise! Racecomp/GTWorx (aka:Myles) sponsored me for a couple years in my STU Evo. He played a big part in bringing the first Moton's over for the Evo. We both worked with Moton and MotonUSA to get the size and damping right for the final version.

For the time being, there is better support in my area for Penskes vs. JRZ or Motons, but that does not stop me from investigating.

Give Tiger Racing a call - 626-967-6796. They are using the JRZ setup on their car, although they weren't sure if the final Boss 302S would be using them. I know Ford Racing was doing some final testing last week to see which company they were going with.
