What a great group of people, helpful and as excited as I am!
swa737: I thought my 331 was a low number! 252 is VERY early, you might have one of the first 30-50 Bosses built.

I believe if he got the VIN, his dealer (or one of our helpful Ford dealership forum members) should be able to tell him the build week at this point.

And Tony, as usual, is right on money! Just came back from the dealer. He pulled his status report: my Boss is Submitted to the Plant!
Furthermore, he pulled the Preview Scheduling Results Report and the car has been an assigned build week of January 17th.
swa737: yes, it could be that low. Let's see what the build week is....there aren't that many of these being built.

Based on the status, it would seem assigning the VIN is a prerequisite to assigning the build week since parts ordering is taking place. However, depending on how fast the scheduling people are processing the orders, it has seemed that the early Boss production steps have allowed for folks to see a VIN and build week in close proximity.
I'd love to talk those folks in scheduling!
OK, so I just got this email from my dealer: "I’m guessing we should have a VIN and a build week for you next week. Your order is marked “priority #1”……so , that sounds good so far!"
What does Priority #1 mean?
What does Priority #1 mean?
Brian could give you more details, but the lower priority number, the higher priority the car has. 1 is as low as it goes, so your car is more likely to be built before other Mustangs that your dealership has ordered.
