That makes no sense. Several members who ordered cars have first week builds.

This may be true, but just ask anyone who ordered an early '11, first built does not necessarily mean first received.

Ford WILL hold these vehicles for quality checks just like any other launch: it's the status quo. Maybe not as long as last year, but they will.

Dealers have already been warned that until the '12s get the "OK TO SHIP" that dealer orders will take priority over retail because it's easier to fix any engineering issues with the car before it ships, while it's shipping and while it;s at the dealership than when it's in a customer's driveway.

 

Thanks for the info. I still don't have a build date for mine so this may not impact me. I just put in a request to add the Recaro's after sitting in them last week. Will changing my order also delay the build?

 

You still haven't been assigned a build date or even a VIN yet so it is unlikely that this will impact your order at this early in the process.

Yes, I ordered the car on 11/19 and it was submitted on 11/24 for a first quarter build. I did not get the dealers first car, the owners son did.

 

 

I asked my dealer yesterday for a copy of the VOC for the boss I ordered on Feb 24th. Looking at it, it appears that it wasn't ordered until yesterday based on the time on the VOC ?? Or does anybody think that is just maybe the time of the screen print ?? Also - priority code 10 - that's good right ??

Dealer can only put a priority code 10. Zone rep ups it to a 1 when order is actually sent for production. Why didn't you order the Recaro's and Torsen diff?
