Other then removing the decals I like the idea of keeping the stock paint as close to original. And I also like the idea of a Plum Crazy Purple Boss 302.

I had to throw some humor in this thread. Seriously that snake is the biggest poser on the planet. It's actually a very docile snake imitating one of the most deadly snakes in the world.

Ha no I spotted the humor, I think if someone has put Boss decals on their V6 and someone with a Boss gets pissed, then the V6 guy has won. No reason anyone should be all pissed over someone else's car.

 

Exactly, that's the logic that seems to be the focal point as to why so many get heated over the subject. It's not so much the perceived abomination of an inanimate object but the "deception" involved.

I would hardly call a vehicle a clone if all it has is some similar striping. Gonna take a lot more than just some side and hood striping to clone the boss. Like, Roof paint, Boss spoiler, front facia , ground effects, matching Boss wheels.

No - what you are describing is a bad clone that someone couldn't even take the time to do right. It is and will always be, just a wannabe.

 

Well maybe the owner wasn't trying to make the car a clone. Just certain aspects of the car they like so they add them to their car.
