If you are referring to my 227, thanks man. Really appreciate that.

Not a fan of the clones....I get modding your ride to personalize it and put your own stamp on it.
But hey... To each his own.
Just don't try and pass em off as the real deal cause there's always that fella in the crowd that knows better and will call you out and make you look like an a$$.

Totally agree with you. I just have the Boss C stripes on mine. No boss front fasica or splitter. Heck, I don't even have the words Boss on it and even put the factory HP amount on the hood area. Lol!

Not sure I would have done the HP rating on the hood scoop, but I do not hate it, kind of on the fence about it. Like the 227 on the stripe though. Sometimes less is more...

The paint looks really nice in the last pic too!

Thanks bro. I decided to put the factory HP on the hood just because I haven't seen it done near me and figured wanted to make it my own. With that said I completely understand that it may not be everyone's cup of tea so to speak of. Lol.

I been using Croftgate detailing products to take care of he paint.

I saw a young man the other day with a full Saleen kit on his 99-04 V6 car.

My initial reaction was not of ridicule. In fact, my heart went out to him. He was probably 17 years old and very proud looking. He waved at me and I smiled at him.

I remember those days, growing up when times were always tight. At his age, I was searching the couch cushions for enough pennies to buy a small fry at McDonalds. His car was obviously not an authentic Saleen but it quite well kept and tasteful.

Im sure he gets flack though...however, I'm sure he'll look back on it with no regrets.

Live your live and enjoy the precious moments you have. Don't live your life concerned about what spiteful people think or say.

At the end of the day, you will be wealthy with memories and respect for working hard to achieve goals. The haters will still be dwelling in their spite.

305hp out of 227ci stock. Amazing. My first Mustang was a 1970 sportsroof with a 250ci straight 6cyl, 155hp. We have come a long way

I agree. In some ways many of us still are the kid from that story. I know I am. Mod your car to make you happy. People like to think their opinion is more valid than yours. And they are right, when they talk about their car. Make your car into what makes you happy.

Someone with few modifications: light wheels, 4-6pot brembos, aluminum driveshaft, light cat-back exhaust, full suspension work, boss intake with a good tune, could make it look like a boss, but put "better then a boss" in vinyl letters in a good spot

I dont mind peoples cars looking like another model, as long as they dont lie and force me to believe that V6 comes in a SRT-8 now.

Saw a silver GT tonight, at least I am assuming it was a GT, that had the Boss striping on it. Temecula, CA has a ton of Mustangs. I think the So Cal Mustang Club should take a trip out to our wineries.

I have to agree completely. The only pet peeve of mine is when an enthusiast starts sticking emblems on their model to deceive or attempt to deceive its true model. Examples would be a GT owner sticking snake emblems on their pony to make people think its a Cobra model.

V6 owners sticking GT, 5.0, Gt trunk emblems on when its not a Gt model. 4.6 owners sticking 5.0 side emblems on to give the apperence its a 5.0 when it's not. That's not cool too me but if someone likes a Gt front fasica because they think the fog lights look awesome, completely acceptable. If someone likes a CS spoiler but doesn't have a CS model, completely acceptable. If someone loves and buys Gt500 wheels and doesn't have an actual Gt500, completely acceptable.

He needs to work harder, more jobs, and save his money instead of spending it immediately on stuff he can get right now. I always had bad *** cars when I was young and didn't have to fake it. I just worked more hours and saved more money instead of blowing it on ******.

On the other side of the coin are sleepers. Dumbing down a car costmetically and putting money and time into what counts can be very cool, although the factories today don't really offer model variations that lend themselves to that genre.

The closest I can think of would be replacing everything on a Mustang that would otherwise identify it as a GT.

Hmmmmm.....I wonder how an S197 would look with steelies and dog-dish hub caps?

I could care less than a rats *** what people do to there rides. If you feel the need to modify it so it looks like cobra, Gt, Boss, GT/CS, Sleeper, all the power to you. What matters to me is what I'm driving. people who drive the real deal know the differance.
To be honest. I have bo problem looking at a well done clone.
