Clones?
2012 boss 302 came with a gloss black roof painted from the factory, it is not a decal. 2013 boss 302 has a body color roof no different than the rest of the car. some have applied a vinyl decal and/or painted the 2013 roof to match the 2012 models. if you watch the video on the development of the boss they show the cars in the paint shop with black roof and different body color.
mine is painted. believe me i know.

I have a clone.
I don't care if you don't like it.
Many people do.
Ford would not build the Boss the way I wanted so I built my own. I always tell people it is a 2011 GT built with Boss and GT 500 parts for better performance.
Live and let live

Or not.

Why couldn't you just be happy with a GT modded with boss and 500 parts? What's the point to the boss 302 graphics?
Love the look. When I built the car I wanted electronics package, heated seats and rear view camera etc, Ford wouldn't offer the Boss like that so I built one. All OEM parts, until I replaced them with improvements. If I knew what I was going to do I would have bought the Boss, would have saved about $3500 in parts costs.

Nice! Start with a gorgeous car and make it better.
A) Don't care. The more mods the better. I love the fact that we have the best aftermarket market out there, all due to our "investments" in these "assets."
B) I personally would stop short of anything that labeled it something it's not (e.g., the words Boss on a non-boss, or GT on a 6-er).
C) I personally like when the car proudly announces what is IS (like the Kona with 227 in the c-stripe, or like Tony leaving GT in the c-stripe, or those 3.7, 5.0-like emblems for the front fenders).
