Like I told my mom... "Should be no more than 3 hours back from SD at 150mph!"
Will definitely get some pics at the dealership. And since I'll be driving up 101 I just might stop in to get a pic at the entrace to Laguna Seca... Just need to make sure I don't forget my newly purchased radar detector.

Hey guys dont feel bad My LS was built two weeks ago yesterday (may 26) and is has not been released from the plant to await shipment. I know it is just sit and wait but I live less than 2 hours from the plant, in fact i had thought this weekend I might drive past the plant just to see if I can see my car sitting on a lot somewhere.

I know it is just sit and wait but I live less than 2 hours from the plant, in fact i had thought this weekend I might drive past the plant just to see if I can see my car sitting on a lot somewhere.

I love playing with the old stuff as I also am the partner in an automotive machine shop and have built engines for many old cars and even fixed some others would not touch. My partner and I back in 1980 built a pro street Maverick nad was in several magazines that year.

Well just talked to my dealer and got some bad news. My boss was built in late April. Last week, the dealer said he that Ford told him it would probably arrive Monday(Yesterday). Today I was told that it is actually still sitting in Michigan waiting for approval to be shipped so it's still at least a week away. I can't wait to see the condition of the paint after it has sat outside almost two months waiting to be delivered...
The interesting thing is that the dealer claimed it was some sort of quality control hold in relation to the Recaro seats. I know there have been a million rumors started by random comments like this from dealers but I'm curious if there could be any truth to this. So, has anyone ordered a boss with Recaros and had it ship recently?

Keep the faith. Mine was after the initial ETA but made it to the dealer 3 days earlier than the "re-commit" ETA.
I'm now about 14 hours from the flight to San Diego, and hopefully no more than 18 hours from greatness!
Gonna drive up the California coastal region on 101 since I5 has road work going on right now.
Radar detector is on hand!
I still think I've got a fighting chance for # 666 based on what others have reported for their # in the same time frame in which case this Race Red car will get some form of devilish name...
