I will stay tuned to the forum then, as the Q3/Q4 time frame gives me more time to build up my deposit fund. Just wanted to learn and understand the process. I was contemplating a 401k loan but after a chat with the domestic CFO, that's not an option right now...

Re: "Drop ship", thanks for the reply, but is that "Free", small fee, big fee, land of the fee and home of the brave?

I'm in the same boat man. I don't like waiting for Q4, but I'll have a very nice downpayment at that time. So the wait is only testing my patience

My saving grace is being able to drive the wife's GT while I wait. It's a double edge sword though, I feel like I'm on methodone, getting just enough dosage to keep me from going crazy. I could also get an optioned up GT 'vert through Xplan should my willpower fade. However I keep circling back around to the Boss, hearing it's siren call.... It's special..... The best Mustang ever.... Intoxicating... Awe inspiring.... Breath taking.....

Still learning how not to complain about driving around in a 222k mile minivan... it's paid for and knock wood just keeps on chuggin!

I'm getting my car from a dealer in Alabama, and Ford will deliver it from the plant to my dealer here in central Mass. The dealer in Ala. will never even see or touch the car, but I will pay him for it and do all the paperwork thru him.

My dealer will receive and prep the car for me at no charge, since I do a lot of business thru him.
Actually Ford will pay the delivering dealer for the delivery rather than the selling dealer. It is a very small amount which basically pays for the labor to PDI and the full tank of fuel.

Theoretically free if both dealers agree to it.

For a courtesy delivery do you get a full tank of gas?

Ok a courtesy delivery is when you order the car from one dealer, say in another state, and the car is delivered to your local dealer for no fee?

I'm confused and this might cause me to change my order, so any help would be appreciated.

The dealer doing the delivery may charge a fee. Otherwise you got it

Q2 Yellow Blaze is scheduled to arrive at Newark by train tomorrow and may spend a night or two at the Ford yard. Dealership (Dana Ford) is only 20 minute drive from rail yard. Should have the Q2 Blaze by Friday 13 or maybe sooner. It all depends on the car carrier. Gentlemen.....Start your engines. I'm wondering what build number this car wil have. I havent seen anything higher then 417. One would think it should be 1000 or up>>>>>we will see. Still cant make sense out how these cars are allocated and when there built. The whole purchase journey for allot of people have been Hell. My car has been like a clock from purchase agreement to Vin# to build date to shipment and set to arrive on Friday 13. Kind of looking foward to getting my Boss on Friday the 13"th. Will let you know the build # ASAP.

Want to thank FCS people for answering all question durning this journey.

I've seen one in the high 400's. Yours should be between 800 and 900. At 1000 per quarter, that's 188 LS and 812 Boss cars per quarter approximately. Personally I'm hoping for 1969 or 2012 but those should show up in the third quarter.

Well, I just got of the phone with Advantage (spoke to Brian, who might be the GM) and I told him I would buy today for MSRP, but he made it clear that he was "entertaining offers." He doesn't HAVE any offers, but he hopes to someday entertain them.

They don't have the car yet, so he's "got my number and he'll let me know."

Talked to another guy in VA. His ad on cars.com shows MSRP, but when I contacted him, the price had magically risen $5000. Seems pretty clear that a lot of these guys are saying MSRP until they get a call.

Anyway, if anybody knows of Kona Blue R/T for MSRP or even "fake" MSRP, let me know. I'm trying to put my name on all of their lists. Thanks.

Jimmy

Interestingly, my dealer said about two weeks ago that he didnt have the VIN yet, but that the Ford rep had told him the car was still on track for me to have the car by the end of May. Pins and needles over here...
