I plan on applying your avatar paint scheme to my ride (ROOF PAINTED)

Can I use/steal your avatar, I changed my color with the dealer to White?

I think the white is a great choice! The car will look classic.

I was there this morning. They were doing virtual quarter-mile runs with the orange BOSS 302 in the background. It seems kind of silly from a sit-in-the-car perspective but it was nice getting to hear the car at full throttle in person.

They had a black/red Laguna Seca and another (Kona?) blue BOSS 302. The blue was awfully gaudy.

No red cars, unfortunately, so I appreciate the pictures posted above.

I thought you couldn't sell a car on ebay without an actual VIN. It can be preproduction, but it has to at least have a VIN.

It's funny the dealer is asking $99K and claims the car can be build to exact specifications. Navigation, anyone?

We know the 2012 Boss is an instant collectible. There are some illigitimates out there gaming the history of the car. Just ignore them!

Hope this ebay joker doesn't give the dealers some false idea of the value. Right now my dealer is trying to trade for an LS for me. I am trying to buy an autocross car. LS model allows all driver aids to be shut down, plus diff springs and rear cross car brace would be great for my purpose. Regular Boss not bad but I don't know the extent of driver aids that will remain, even with the Red key.

You can disable TCS in either the regular or LS Boss. If you are just using it for autocross a regular Boss will be more than enough. You won't need the addl chassis stiffening for autox. I road race my pig of a GT500 with the S197 chassis and it's fine. The big front splitter, additional chassis stiffening and higher spring rates in the LS will be an advantage on the road course, but negligible for autox. The front splitter is designed to add down force for cornering at high speeds.....90 lbs at 140 mph. You want softer front shocks for autox anyway to get the car to bite on sharp corners. Get the Recaro/Torsen diff option on the regular Boss and save the $5k MSRP plus the potential ADM.

The only thing the red key disables to my knowledge are "drivability" parameters in the engine tune. It has absolutely nothing to do with TCS. Let's hope it does defeat the 155 mph speed limiter though!

Thanks for the advice cloud9. My brain tells me the same thing, but my heart makes me really want an LS, even if it gets outclassed. As far as I know the front springs are the same, its only the rear that changes for an LS. As far as shock settings go, who knows how stiff the regular boss is. All we know is setting 1 for LS is full stiff for boss. not sure of any weight difference with rear seat delete. They should also ditch the A/c on the LS who needs air in a race car?

I agree on the A/C. Wish it was an option to delete.

One problem with driver aids is that they are or will be mandated by the government. Even though you can "turn them off" some still remain. I know the Solstice has a hidden way of turning them all off. Even though there is a "sport" mode it merely reduces the intervention and does not eliminate it. You won't find how to shut it completely down in any manual. Pontiac was smart and realized the autocross potential of the Solstice. Ford is smart too, lets hope they can share the secret.

I'm not 100% sure about that. An article in Motor Trend mentioned that tidbit. There has been no official confirmation from Ford that I am aware of right now.
