Anyone Interested in After Market Exhaust Discs
Tob, my understanding from other Boss owners that added aftermarket cat-backs is that you need the back pressure from the stock mufflers to get much flow out the side pipes. If you open up the flow out back you'll get less flow from the side pipes. I've been following your thread and you do an incredible job of documenting your work.
Thanks for the tip on the tip.

Thanks for the thumbs up. This mod was rather interesting to say the least and I don't think I'm done yet.
Hey Scott, I'm the one on the Shelby forum (GT67) reccommending your discs. Glad to help out and thanks for all you have done. I got mine from you last June and had many sweet remarks on the exhaust. How are things in PSL and Stuart?
Yes, I will continue with the project for now.
Thanks!

The sound I love the best is 'no baffle' in the side pipes.
Which I use for highway trips or while I'm down in NW Montana.
Alas, for downtown city driving, I go with Scott's 3/4" baffle, just to keep the mirrors from falling off the car beside me! :-
Cheers,

Shipping rates were just raised, that combined with a small increase two months ago on the discs has forced me to raise the price. Only one dollar and only for the first set - $27 shipped. The second or more sets I will keep at the same price for now $18.
Canada shipping has increased also, first set shipped is $34, $18 for extra sets.

Anyone on the fence: I've met Scott and he's a stand up guy making parts in the USA that will last forever, won't break the bank, are fun to play with, and allow you to tune the sound to your need(s). I keep them zip tied together in my toolbox and a 15mm ratcheting end wrench is your friend!
Sent from my iTurd. Now to ice my thumb with a Pacifico.
Thanks to a site member Boss2511 at BMO for this write up
Tools needed. 15MM wrench and 15MM socket and ratchet(I used a deep well so I wouldnt have to use an extension)

Step one raise vehicle I used a set of car ramps

Step two remove the two nuts at the flange and the bolt that holds the tip near the rocker panel edge

Step Three remove the side pipe assembly

Step four remove stock restrictor plate (if not installing a different sized plate skip to step six)

Step five install new sized restrictor plate (3/4" plate shown in picture)

Step six re install side pipe by first slipping over studs on flange then threading the rear bolt and loosely tighten bolt and nuts. check clearance you should be able to get you hand around the pipe from front to back adjust as necessary. Once clearance is good tighten all nuts and bolt down and recheck clearance.

Step seven repeat steps one-six for opposite side then lower vehicle and you are done. now wasnt that easy?

Hey 2013 guys, I received a reply here from a Ford engineer that the 2013 discs and side-pipes are in fact the same as the 2012. It may be a good idea for some to get the discs ahead of time so the dealer can install them at pickup. One less thing to worry about like getting the pipes lined back up correctly. Most decent dealers should install them for you at delivery without charge, I know many of the 12 guys had this done.

I checked the side pipes and they see to be aligned properly, and they don't seem to be touching anything or misaligned.
Center the two bolts at the connection then loosen the long bolt on the band clamp. Now you can rotate the pipe around for better clearance while keeping it level. Next make any needed fine adjustments using the two bolts. If you can't measure the 3/8 adjust them so that you can put you index finder between the pipe and floor (yes it can touch both).

pratice!
