HEY,
I voted to have Sync available as retrofit for my 2012 Boss,....
Having the Sync option available in 2013's is O.K., but I'd like to have it in my current Boss.
Cheers,
Jouster

Hey, jouster.

Thanks for voting! Making SYNC available was the first step. It's possible we may offer an aftermarket kit in the future. I recommend periodically checking:

Once the NTSB rules, the states will increasingly move in this direction, which is important to those of us who are daily drivers.

Cellphone ban happened last September in my area.
But 'handsfree' is legal.
That why I need a Sync retrofit!
My Boss gets driven daily,..... in the summer.

This should have been a non issue. At this point practically all cell phones have bluetooth. Bluetooth integration is now minimal and for safety reasons should have already been standard issue in our cars today. Weight is a non issue. Nor should price be. There should be no argument that even base radios should have hands free at this time.

I know we got along just fine before cell phones but that's not the situation we live in anymore. Especially cars with manual transmissions, hands free is just a no duh scenario.

I agree!

jouster -

We haven't adopted those laws in Michigan yet, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I'll keep you in mind if I hear any aftermarket kit info. In the meantime, be safe and follow the rules.

Jaclyn,

Now that the NTSB has done these recs, it's likely to be before lone the same situation as the 55 speed limit. The federal government "suggests" that the states adopt a rule making the use of electronic devices illegal and the states the do not follow the "suggestion" lose their federal highway funding.

Roger that,..... but I'd really like a Ford retro-fit kit that allows Bluetooth connection to my Cell in the Boss 302, just like my wife's 2011 C/S Mustang does,.... and she doesn't need the right hand free to shift grears either!
Cheers,
the Jouster

Good point, dean_acheson.

jouster - If I hear anything regarding new aftermarket kits, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hey guys, I just found this thread and it seems like a great alternative to adding Sync, especially since it's plug and play.

https://themustangsource.com/forums/...le-12v-526981/

Here's the actual adapter, looks like you need the Bluetooth extension accessory too for hands free calling. Still a good value for $200 total though...
