Wife has given me official "ok" for a 15' when they come out!!!!
My wife let me get a new mustang and pump over $10k into it, and I rarely even drive the thing. Then she lets me get a new 2014 truck, and any gun I want. We never tell each other what to do with our money, since we have joint accounts we just let each other know what we are buying so we can keep track of funds.
I totally consent. I've been happily married for 15 years and my wife and kids are first priority. I am German. Ever since I was a 7 year old kid I have wanted to own a Mustang one day. An American soldier had taken me for a ride in his 1969 Mustang, I could never forget that car. The 2015 Mustang will be officially sold in Germany and my wife told me that it is time to make my dream come true. The only problem I see is that I will need my next car in Dezember when the lease on my daily driver (Fiesta) runs out and I don't think the new Mustang will be here before at least April next year. So, what shall I do? Should I try to elongate the lease and get the Mustang when it arrives for sale in Germany or should I just get me some other new Ford and postpone my dream for another 3 or 4 years?
Thank you, that's what I wanted to hear. I will just need to cover the month from January until March. When the winter weather is gone I have my Porsche 944 to hold me over until the Mustang arrives.
Well, I´ve had the Porsche for 18 years and have to thank my wife for still having it around. I was just about to sell it when our kids were born because we needed a family car, but my wife said that we should just store it for a few years until it has become a classic and enjoy it then. I obliged.
Congratulations Griff, I can't wait to see it. I understand the dynamics of the purchase. The Wife, and I have been married for nearly 40 years. We have a deal that anything over $100 will be discussed. She hasn't told me I couldn't since we got past living pay check to pay check in the early years. But, I would never buy a new vehicle without her input. Now, will you have your Wifey call my Wifey and kinda get her ready. I'm seriously thinking of selling my '07 Vette, and buying me my own '15 Mustang since ours is technically hers. I'm still in the mulling stage, and haven't mentioned anything to her yet.

Because she can't and won't drive stick, it will have to be an automatic, and will have to have height adjustable seats - I'm 6'2 and she's 5'.
Also, wanted to comment on what Griff said -- I'm the Before in your lose-weight scenario - I want to get down similarly in weight next year to be "Mustang-ready". Lighter driver = faster car!
