[QUOTE=2011 Kona Blue;6849264]The 1st generation mustangs , it worked and worked well. By 2015, 50 years later doesn't work at all. In my opinion, it was a poor attempt by Ford to incorporate the 1st generation in the 2015. The taillights on the 1st generation mustangs worked for the car back 50 years ago. Besides, what happend to the Ford moving forward and getting away from retro. Now your telling me the rear looks like 1st generation. That's nothing more than more retro.

The lines, Its rear shape and slope totally work on the 1st generation. The slope, lines and shape don't work on this new generation stang in my own opinion. It looks like a cheap knockoff that falls flat on its face with no originality by Fords design team. Just my obsurd opinion but its all good because I'm confident Ford will sell them like crazy.[/QUOTE

The same can also be said about the current S-197 as a cheap knock off from the 1st generation 65-70 cars as well.. AKA retro..

However the current S-197 Mustang is a modern interpretation of the 1st generation 65-70 models and not as some cheap knock off or re-copy..

The new 2015 Mustang IMHO is completely an all new design and is indeed more modern and less retro than the outgoing S-197.. but the new S550 didn't completely abandon the retro theme altogether either..

Think of the new 2015 Mustang as an evolution of the outgoing S-197

Well, I'm not sure the 2015 mustang is a completely all new design. The front fasica is Fords corporate look which is not new. As you stated the rear end resembles the 1st generation mustang rear so that's not all new. Just more of the retro but less retro than S197 but semi retro but completely new design. The only thing left is its side profile.

Anyway, that's what I don't like about the rear. To me it looks like a really poorly done old fashion, not aggressive 1st generation stang that doesn't go with the rest of the car and looks soft. To leave the 13-14 tail light LED's and not build on it and go back to like taill lights of the 1st generation stangs, is silly. Really lack of creativity and vision of Ford and its design team. All the years planning for the car and that was the best all new and fresh modern design they could come up with?

That's cool bro. Different strokes for different folks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if that's sexy to you, ain't gonna tell you or anyone there wrong.

Omg man, just go away already. Stay in the 2010-2014 section. I don't even love the 2015 design, but it is what it is!

Hey, the person asked me twice on here what I don't like about the rear. I was just answering their question. Exactly bro. It is what it is. No issue here. Its all good. I hope Ford sells 100's of thousands of these suckers.

Matter of fact I'm confident they will have huge sales numbers and others on here didn't agree.

Lol I know right, I have been watching this thread and its hilarious. These guys that just have to post that they dont like the 2015 are ridiculous. I dont care for the looks of the Camaro, but you dont see me going to a camaro forum just to say how I dont like how it looks. Its like they dont have the mental filter to just not post.

Maybe even delete those posts.

Seriously, it just derails the whole thread and the thread becomes worthless.

As to the topic at hand, OP, thanks for the insight. Hopefully I get to see one in person and it will affect where I stand on the 2015.

Ha ha ha. Relax bro. Were not doing anything important here. Were not saving the world. Were having friendly discussions about the 2015 mustang.

I rest my case.

For the record, please refrain from using the word "bro" to refer to me (or others). I never was or never will be, your "bro". It's evident that your choice of words gives credence to the value your posts provide. The value of which, I've highlighted in my prior post.
