Need help with exhaust sound!!!
Hey everyone!
I previously have bought a 2016 Mustang v6 and need some tips on how to improve my sound. I just installed the Borla S-type catback exhaust system and am not completely satisfied with the sound(can't return). If you guys have any tips that can help make this system a little louder that would be great!

Welcome to the forum. It's difficult to make a V6 sound anything other than a 6 cylinder. However, you may be able to improve the sound with an X-Pipe. On a V8 the X-Pipe give the exhaust a more raspy (higher pitch) sound, so I'm sure it would do the same with a V6. The car has a factory H-Pipe than gives it a lower sound.

Oh man ... I have those same Borla, ($$) and am very happy with the sound.
What sounded better - for 1/2 hour or less, Bassani! Sounded cooler, especially
with the windows down. They looked cooler as well.
But... they got painful. There was a "drone" or resonance that was just physically
uncomfortable to me (and, the kids, and Mrs ...). So, out they went after about
10K miles/6 months.
That was about 5 years ago (!), but, a new set of Borla probably still sounds the same
as back then.
Maybe something happens with the hearing whey you approach 50 ... but, it should get
worse ... Note: the Airraid CAI was the next thing I had to un-do.
