I installed after market lower control arms on my GT and now have all kinds of road noise coming through the floor. I am confused by the different materials out there and the out of sight price. I found a material called black mat that is .070 thick. Should I purchase this or another material? I am looking for thick material. How much would I need for the trunk and rear seat floor area? Is E bay a good place to purchase or do you know a better place? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know this too. This is where Ford skimped too much IMO. Lot's of road noise on the roof and in the tire wells when it is raining.

They're the best product for this application. The owner, Anthony, is also a VERY helpful guy. Just call/email him, and he will recommend the proper product. You'll also get the best price this way.

I don't doubt the quality of that product. I just laugh when I hear military grade sound-deadening. I have never noticed a military vehicle know for its quietness and comfort. I use this stuff called B-Quiet. I got it on Ebay cheap. http://www.b-quiet.com/

B-quiet ain't bad stuff at all. I've used it myself. The owner of Second Skin recognizes me from several forums, and usually gives me a break on the price, so I buy from him. I really like the liquid products, and will probably use them exclusively on this car for weight savings. If I need mat, I'll use a Butyl (rubber) based material. I HATE the tar smell associated with the asphaltic mats.

Are you going to spray the stuff on or use a brush? I was looking at the same stuff for my setup.

I'm going to brush/roll it on. I suck at prep, and the spray is too haphazard.

I bet that could get messy spraying it on. I may just role it on as well.
