That really does look like the Carscoop render.... Quarter window is a bit off. But over all its very similar.

Really think that Ford would let that slip if it was the real deal?

Considering that it was still in the "what if" phase. Yes. Its not an earth shattering tell all angle. But considering the other 2 clay model pics we have, that do happen to fit the Carscoop rendering, and the test mule camo'd nose we've seen, then Id say its looking like we have a good idea what its going to look like.

They arnt going to make any major changes this late in the game.

Here's a pic of the EVOs for reference:

To me, it looks like if you took the Carscoop render, gave it a more prominent hip and mixed in a little of the Iaccoca Mustang

The Carscoop render has a few problems to me...(1) the car looks more tall than wide ie, taurus/challenger (2) the top of the rear fenders seem too flat, flattening out the hips and (3) the roofline and rear window is WAY too Camaro-esque...just my two cents looking at the models compared to the renders and personal opinion...

I like the clay model rear end (at least the part that I can see) because it appears that the taillamps do NOT wrap around. Now I just have to wait for that guy to move his hand to see if the headlamps wrap around (hopefully not).

Looking at the clay model's drawn lines I believe it is the furthest one back which doesn't look to have wrapped around headlights.

The problem with that however, is the nose on the prototype car seems to be longer than that of the clay model. Like other are saying though, this could have been tweaked to allow for euro standards to be met. so you may get your wish of no wrap around lights?

ha i was making a joke because ppl were taking the clay model seriously. (tho they better use the redesigned suspension as an opportunity to fix that.)

My understanding is the euro pedestrian standards were forcing manufactures to raise the distance between the hood and the engine so if you were running down pedestrians they would only dent the softer hood not impact the engine below.
When looking at how far this nose sticks out i think the camo and whatever coverings they have are exaggerating it. even the fusion which is FWD doesnt have that much front overhang. The evos concept didnt have that much either. i think the final product will be much sleeker.

Like Pete said, those clay pics are planned by Ford, not slips. Based on that rear 3/4 shot, the hip looks like the '10+, but the rear is too rough to tell much more. Take the tin foil hats off and relax for a little bit...

But I have grown accustom to my tin foil hat...I thought it was making a fashion statement :-(
