I'm hoping switching the exhaust to roush will hide the clicking. Now let's hope after market parts are ready at launch. It would be nice to have the dealer add it before delivery but I doubt I'm going to be that lucky.

I know I will probably switch the exhaust to roush once available but was not sure if I should stay with the proven and tested v6 or give ford a chance on their new engine. I guess I will just have to wait until release as ford is not playing nice with us and giving us the info we need.
Any clicking noises are probably from the high pressure direct injection system, not from any four banger aspects. Many DI motors do have a clattery sound, hence a lot of the plastic shrouding you see on most DI motors.

Some early vids to indicate a nice (for a four) exhausts note -- probably should wait for some real ear time before passing final judgement on that aspect -- some I4s can sound good, queue one Fiat 500 Abarth.

If you didn't know, i have read on 'many' Mustang forums a lot of members with the v6 have sold their Roush axleback mufflers because of being too loud. I would wait and see how they sound on the EB4 before buying one. Just saying.......

Can you recommend a nice exhaust with a low throaty tone that is not as loud as roush? Someone told me about corsa but said they have a wine to them.

Many people seem focused on the HP being the same or very close between the ecoboost and the V6. What those people are missing is the ecoboost will have much more torque than the V6 and will have it far sooner in the rev band. The 2.3 ecoboost is in the new MkC and is officially rated at 285 hp and 305 ft-lb of torque. Ford has already announced that the ecoboost in the Mustang will have at least 305 hp, so we know it will be tuned differently than the MkC, but I think they are smart enough to not sacrifice torque to get that HP number.

Totally agree. The EB is so torquey and people will quickly realize it's not just a 4 banger that will sound like a civic... With a tune, these things will be pretty awesome... Closing in on the same tq figures as a GT lol and doing it in the 2000's rpm range

You have to wait and see what will be offered. Muffler and exhaust companies will have 'sound clips' or 'videos' of their product soon after the 2015 Mustang is sold.

And stock gears are now 3.15 vs. the 2.73 from the base V6, correct? PP gets 3.31? That will also help the torque feel.

The stock gears on the V6 are 3.15, but there is no performance pack for the V6. You can get 3.55 gears as a stand alone option though.
