I spent a significant amount of time looking at this photo the other night... There's the blacked out grill and (most of the) window trim... Could be 'sporty', but just as easily explained as being part of the camo. The thing I spent the most time looking at, though, was the hood. It 'appears' there is a small heat extractor about midway up the hood, just off of what we would call the power bulge. It could be the camo playing tricks on my eyes, and I can't decipher another extractor on the passenger side of the hood, but it supported my own fantasy of this being a camo'd sport, or possibly even SVT, model of the Fusion.




Then I saw the pic attached below. Fusion on display at SEMA has the hood exactly as my mind sees it in the camo pic above.


Thoughts?

 

Interesting. I see what your saying. I looked at the pic that showed the hood open and cant really tell.

 

2 English mags are today reporting that the new Mondeo (your new Fusion) has been pushed back AGAIN and now isn't expected until the back end of 2014. This is now blamed on the European reorganisation of plants etc.

They suggested the current Mondeo may get a few styling tweaks rushed through, including the 1.0 EcoBoost.....so I wonder if this is it?

I see the fuel cap has gone a bit camera shy

 

Because of the unique exhaust route and new IRS, the gas tank may had to be repositioned. Ford probably cut the fuel door so they had some play up there. The fashionable plastic is to cover the hole...
