It's how they turn the hybrid mode on and off. Note the "Fuel Main and Fuel Alt" labels. "Off" means that it's currently running on the batteries.

Well it looks like those caps say Fuel drain. So I would hope the fuel drain would be off while driving around.

With a few exceptions ( Mustang II and fox body), the twin cowl dash is a common theme in Mustang so most likely your going to see some variation of that with the center stack adapted to the Mustangs twin cowl styling.

 

The Ford test fleet is in Denver this week. I got to see the Mustangs, fusions, f150s, transit vans, and fiestas. Including the new fiesta cross overs. And there was 2 cars under covers that appeared to be heavily padded. I snapped a couple pics before a ford guy asked me to stop and not to post what I HAD taken because he would get in trouble.

The 2 covered cars didn't resemble anything in the current lineup. One was a boxy looking car similar in size to the fiesta crossover but not as curvy. And the other car was he size of a mustang. But had a more fastback looking rear glass and a very low and long hood I didn't get a pic of it. And it was gone when I came back after lunch.

 

The fiesta crossovers actually had Japanese emblems on it.

I asked the guy if they were in town to test in the snow as it is going to snow here tonight. He said no that he didn't think it was a good idea to drive the mustang with those tires in the snow. Then he got in and started it. It said 5.0 on the side. But it didn't sound like any 5.0 I've ever heard. Especially when he gave it a little gas. V6 I'd say.
