2015 Photoshop/Rendering Thread

I like this. The lower grill juts out that gives it an aggressive jaw. This car has hips and the skin appears drawn tight around the massive tires. I'd like to see it with smaller round headlights and less of the plastic cover seen on just too many cars. A slit with three small round bulbs squinting on each side of the upper grill.

It's also flanked by four round tires... That's it the tires...

Okay, obviously you're not seeing what I'm referring to. The Aston Martin V8 series have a much more Mustang-like fascia than the ones you're posting. I'm quite aware of the classic Aston grille with the two "kinks" in the upper corners. That's not what I'm talking about. Can you not see the difference between Moostang's pic of a 70s-era V8 and what you're posting? Look at the "glaring" headlights and the raised crease on the front fenders. Coupled with the more rectangular grille and foglight placement, you have a very Mustang-like appearance.

Ugh. Not liking this and not seeing how this is "Aston-like". Whatever happened to those sketches that supposedly came from Ford that were posted on here? One showed three slightly different front views and the other had a couple of rear views. I liked the direction those seemed to be going.

I don't know why it is so imperative that the Mustang retain round headlamps. Back in the day Ford loved to show off shapes for headlamps other than round but regulations required sealed beam round headlamps. They were not even allowed to have clear covers unless they retracted. Before the production design was chosen, Ford made some proposals of the original design Mustang with oblong headlamps rather than round. Designers were dying for the opportunity to break away from the restrictions of designing everything around those round sealed beams. The Evos concept with it's thin band of LED headlamps is very nice and forward looking. Why continue to limit the Mustang headlamps to that old school round look for the 2015 redesign?
These are some of the showcars with interesting headlamp designs...

I really like the current round headlight, well at least on the 10-12 since the 13s come with the HID. But I personally think the Evos style headlights are so much more sporty and cool. I liked the sn95 headlights. This could be a modern take on them. All they have to do is put a three style vertical amber lenses on each outer side like the sn95 and call it a day. Be a cool throw back that doesn't have to go to a 60s model. Besides the 60s Mustangs, the 96-04 Mustangs are the models that really made me like mustangs. Very under appreciated models.

The sn95 model is actually my favorite other than 68-70 fastbacks. Plus it would really set Ford up for bring back the Cobra, one of the most feared and respected Mustangs of all time. Id live to see someone do a modern take of the an95 body
