Thanks guys..once I came up with that nose and the rear lights I figured a few wouldn't like it. It's ok by me though there is enough good ideas to go around.
That one based off the GR-1...wish I had thought of that. Good job!
I've always liked that Milano concept..although that upsweep on the body line is very very Challenger.

Yeah the front fascia appears to be a little too low and I'm not sure I'm crazy about the stretched wheelbase. As is, I can see some '71-'73 Mustang influence, which may be bad or good depending on who you ask.
Still, overall, this rendition is on the right track, in my mind.

I did another one that is taller (more like the current one, not as low as the GTR).........closer to reality!
One thing I'd like to see is the C scooped opened up. Use it to cool the rear brakes, and make it functional.
On BON a guy is *****ing about the rear brakes of the BOSS 302 (he has a Boxster)....put in some rear Brembos and some brake ducts.......no more fade!

I was trying to keep the frontal area as low as possible. But I see what you mean, what do you think of this one? Being a 2 passenger the GTR has a short wheelbase, Mustang would need 4 passengers and a longer wheelbase.

Just angle in the front bumper in alittle more and end the body where the doors end and it should look alittle better. Looks to bulky on the side, cutting down would look about right to meet the weight reduction.
I tell you another thing the Mustang needs... More knee room or some padding in the lower dash. I keep hitting my knee on the tilt wheel lever which sticks out slightly from the bottom of the steering column shround. I also managed to knock my right shin on the lower left corner of the dash getting into the car the other day and it left a small contusion.
I would not mind the Mustang becoming a two-seater either. The back seat is useless and getting rid of that will get rid of some bulk. The entire car needs to shrink down one size. Some may laugh but I thought the size of my former 05 Cavalier was perfect. No I did not say the Mustang should become a POS FWD Chevy...

Once I did a Mustang chop derived from a Miata. Think Monster Miata that is all Ford ;-). I don't mind small at all.

Ok heres the pretty much final versions
Just my simple wishes for the new stang. Roughly the same proportions as an Aston Martin DB9 along with a rear mounted transmission like the Aston.

Still have some very minor tweaks to both views to do but they are presentable now.

So would I, but I'd want it detailed first
Doug, just an observation, but the wheels in the rear view seem better proportioned (bigger is better IMHO
). You know I'm in awe of your work, so please don't take it as a criticism

The beltline and the quarter window and fastback treatment are all very good... the front end needs to be thrown on a Dodge or something!
