2015 Photoshop/Rendering Thread
I was hoping this car was going to be a complete departure from the past and be extremely modern and innovative. Just making me yawn to this point. But we shall see what the finished product is in due time.
There are 2 things I haven't seen anyone else mention that I'm hoping to see on the rear design of the 2015. I hope the Quarter window is Bonded in place like the current car, without any type of frame or gasket visible. The second thing is I'm hoping for is a flying buttress/semi recessed rear window like the Evos. I would even love to see the return of the hatchback.
A Hatch would also make it more viable in a Global Marketplace too, so it wouldn't surprise me if Fird did their Homework . I know America doesnt like Hatchbacks, but there's no reason they couldn't do it and keep the same Fastback bodystyle. I'm really hoping that will be one of the biggest surprises of the 2015.

I'd also prefer a fastback look with hatchback functionality. My current car is that way and can haul so much stuff when needed.
The spy shot camo's zipper hints that all we get is a baby trunk, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

There seems to be a certain stigma about the notion of a hatchback, but I wouldn't mind it at all as long as it had a nice fastback profile. However, I have to agree that the spy shots seem to show a car with a trunk deck but I'm hoping that's just the camo doing its job.
A Little More Modern Rear End and Different Quarter Window Shape that I came up with after looking at the Evos. I tried it with, and without a Deck Lid that wraps over the side of the fastback. Also My Idea of what I think the "Louvered/Layered" tail lights might look like. Also tried a different Lower Side Treatment on the second one, similar to the Evos/Fusion Side Sculpture

Its up to us to hope those sneak peeks were accurate. I think they should be like the new edge tails, but keep a halo like tge current gen. Makeem switchbacks so theresthree white rings for reverse, red for normal. And they sequence out when braking and when the hazards are on like the signal reflashers made for that gen
I hate to break it to you but the Rear overhang that you see is what you're going to get. Those pic's I did are just Drawings I laid over the Camo'd Car. You can see from the Spy Pic's that the Rear Valance and Exhaust come right to the rear of the Camo. You also have to take into account Packaging constraints. This isn't a 2 seater, Ford is going to have to fit a Fairly Useable Rear Seat, a Decent size Trunk, a Decent size Gas tank and a Spare Tire back there. The Sides of the rear end are going to be radiused/angled probably even more than the 10-14's to help hide the overhang, but I don't think it's that bad of an overhang. As for it being a Short Hood Long Deck, I don't See what You're Seeing. The Hood is quite long and you can't get much shorter of a deck with that Low Sleek Fastback Profile.
