This is the best thing I've seen all day. I love that the 2015 should fit in right between these two. Cannot wait!

This is VERY close to what will be the finished product.

As much as the front does share similarities in many ways to the Fusion and Evos concepts, it reads very much like the current GT500 does from the front. The flow is very different and sporty/modern but the overall look feels more like a mustang than it does the others.

Please excuse my amateur art skills, but here it is:

looks like an aston martin

This is obviously based on a V12 Vantage photo. I'ts not awfully original or true to Mustang heritage tbh. They said it'd be instantly recognisable as a Stang, this on the other hand.....makes you look at the logo before you guess.

I don't see what people like about that motor trend picture. I'm not a fan. Looks too... Should I say... Soft?

Hi, first post but I have followed this specific thread since about the time it was new. Anyways, just found this and didn't know if it had been posted yet, looks an awful lot like that red car and driver render... but better! Definitely my favorite so far, drop a 2.3L ecoboost in it and ford has a customer

Welcome to the site! I also lurked for a great while here and joined only after seeing how much info was available on the '08 Bullitt I was interested in at the time.

Yes I'm sure that's been posted at some point by our small task force of internet crawlers putting in work to scour the lengths of the intarwebs for any hint of the new Mustang.

That back end is too weak. Sharpen up the lines a bit; give it more hard edges.

I like it except for the grille, I think it should have something similar to the 2010-12 front, just put the fogs in the bumper, where they belong!

Looks like a mustang had an illicit week end with a Ferrari and an Aston Martin. Works for me. If it looks anything like that i would be interested. And, while I've never purchased a mustang with anything but a V8, I could be talked in to a 450 hp ecoboost v6 and for that matter irs.

We will see what Ford puts out, what gas prices will be and what the economy will be like when it comes out.

I used to be part of the "I'll never buy a V6" crowd but performance is performance. I love that the new. V6 is a 300+HP car that gets 30mpg and can get all of the cool luxury items that can ne had in a GT

I don't think you'll get anywhere near 450 hp with an ecoboost V6. 370-400 hp is the range I've heard.

Oh, I think 450hp is quite achievable. The EcoBoost V6 in the Taurus SHO is already making 365 hp. Ford has said they could have tuned it for more but the Taurus transmission wouldn't hold up if the engine delivered more torque. And the SHO engine is 3.5 liters and lacks TIVCT. If Ford made an EcoBoost version of the 3.7, it would have to make 122 hp/liter to make 450hp. Ford's 2.0 EcoBoost engine makes 240 hp (120hp/liter) in the Escape and 252 hp (126 hp/liter) in the Focus ST. So a horsepower target of 450 is not out of line.

An Ecoboost V6 would cost more than the Coyote V8 and the Mustang GT has always been about affordable speed, so I'm sure the V8 will still be around. It would be nice though if Ford offered a high output Ecoboost V6 as an option, though. Some people would pay an extra thousand bucks or so for the better fuel economy. For racing, the Ecoboost V6 might be superior. After it's all dressed up with turbochargers and intercoolers, etc., the V6 might not be much lighter than the V8. But it would be shorter, meaning that the weight would be closer to the firewall making the car less nose-heavy. This better weight balance would pay dividends on the racetrack, I suspect.
