2013 Shelby LT1 fighter- I predict this car will get the focus. Lowered, 5.8 litre, much more going on under the hood, 600hp with much better handling. Just think that this is what everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

Well, if they can actually make the 500 handle proper, I might consider it over a boss. I just don't see it happening with all that weight.

I've never done that, but I have driven a car while getting blown. Now that takes skill.

How much time have you spent in an '11+ 500? The handling is pretty damned impressive right out of the box.

Nice job.

I think from the reveal pic though, the indented areas of the taillights are clear when not lit.

Exactly. I got the honor of test driving an 8 mile on the odo 2012 shelby. I almost signed for one right then and there.

A friend in my local chapter of SCCA owns one ('11 with SVT pkg I think). I've been around in it to many times to count and driven it about a dozen times. I mean no offense, its a great car, just not as good handling as I hoped. Found it to be very nose heavy and harder to make it work around the track because of it. I hope Ford can make the '13 500 more balanced, but all reports have said even more power, we'll see. I have never been in a pre '11 around the track, I can't imagine what its like with the iron block.

Not that I'm aware of. But perhaps there is a media embargo that is being lifted? I'm hanging around for them, but am not counting on them.
