Wiper & Washer System Problem- 2014 Mustang GT

Hello Everyone,

I own a 2014 Mustang GT Automatic with only 31,000 miles. I purchased the car brand new from the dealership. Two weeks ago my windshield wipers began to turn on all by themselves, functioning at different speeds, all of this while the wiper switch in the off position. I decided to take the car to the dealership the next day, thinking it could possibly be loose wire from the tech who installed the takata airbag replacement last week ( recall). After paying the diagnostic fee of $100 dollars,( since i'm out of warranty due to time) they told me that the wiper motor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The dealership quoted me $550 dollars + parts to take care of the problem. After doing some research i decided to do it my self. Brought the car home and began the removal process. I began by removing the wiper relay located inside the engine compartment and followed the ford procedures on removing the wiper motor and installing it back into the car.

After installing the new Motorcraft wiper motor into the cowl area, plugin in the main connector the moment of truth. I turn on the switch and huala, I have now functioning windshield wipers. But when i activated the washer system, nothing happens. I hear no motor working, i see no water being eject from the nozzles. The only thing that is functioning is the windshield wipers, that become activate during the washing cycle (3 wipes)

I have checked the main electrical connection on the wiper motor 3 times and everything is locked in and connected. The washer fluid reservoir is filled to the top with washer fluid. I have done some extensive research with no good results. The only thing that I can think off is that i would need to reset the Generic Electronic Module ? or reset a computer of somesort. I will be checking the fuse box panle located on the passengers floor area for a blown fuse, but i doubt that could be an issue.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read my post and I am open to any suggestions or comments. I'm hoping I can get the answer from anyone in this forum on how to solve my issue
