Water leaking on driver's side
Water leaking on driver's side
Hey, ya'll
I have a 2014 V6 Premium Coupe that leaks onto my foot intermittently whenever it rains. Took it to dealer twice and they can't duplicate issue.
I am stumped and wonder if anyone else has this issue. I am starting to notice condensation collecting on the windshield and a slight odor now.

50 years on and cowl still leaks(already repaired my old 2005, knock wood on my 2007...)
In most cases the drain grommet under the plastic wiper panel is clogged and then the water just fills up into the dash, awesome design. But hey, every car has is quirks, doesn't stop me from owning one.
My lower left corner of the windshield had condensation issues, after removing the cowl cover I discovered that the body panels at the corner had no seam seal(!) and the pockets for the plastic retainers that the cowl panels seat into also had none. Removed all the pockets and seam sealed around them and reinstalled, also filled in the body panel and never had an issue again. My 05 also leaked into the passenger seat foot-well. If the water comes in on the passenger side it can get into the junction box in the kick panel and cause some electrical freak-outs. Check here too and make sure there are no old water trail marks.

But they think the problem is a bad weld.
body shop is going to cut my new car up to the a post and take out the windshield to make the repair. But the cant tell me about the other welds are good? so much for the crash test reports . when you send the out of factory with these problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw this post. Have you gone in for repairs yet? If so, what was the outcome? If not, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate it to the customer service manager for your area.
