Venting on my 5.0
Sorry to chime in the end.. and a little late to throw advice.. I've sadly been though 2 lemon laws (NJ.. every states different).. but Car manufacturers drag their feet when it comes to buy back.. even when the consumer is correct and wins the case.. Hyundai was the worst.. Car was an automatic.. would shift from 4th.. all the way to 1st while doing 70mph on highway.. independent expert acknowledged this.. BBB awarded me the case, but that still doesn't give them a time frame to settle.. Next one w/ GM Ponitac did go much smoother, but again.. they drag their feet..
And I swear I'd tell EVERYONE involved in Lemon Law to get an attorney.. these guys specialize in this law, The manufacturers have to pay the attorney (not YOU)..

For Lemon Law in New Jersey the money DOES come out of your pocket because it comes out of the money the manufacturer gives you. They (Kimmel and Silverman ) took more rhan half my settlement money. You can file for lemon law yourself and save alot of money.

What amounts can be awarded to you if you win?
If you prevail in the Office of Administrative Law hearing (and the decision is accepted by the Division) or if you win in court, you can receive the following:
- refund of vehicle purchase price or leasing costs;
- finance charges (if any);
- reasonable attorney's fees;
- the application fee for the Division's resolution program;
- cost of vehicle repairs paid for by you;
- reasonable costs of a rental vehicle while your vehicle is out of service because of the defect; and fees for expert witnesses.
I guess it depends on WHO determines what's a REASONABLE ATTORNEY FEE..
Isn't that like an OXY-MORON ???
My 5.0 just blew up and they replaced it, and it's already causing more problems that fixes. I'm glad to see you sticking it to them. I've tried to be very patient and reserved, but I really just want a working car, the way most mustang work. I feel your pain. Good luck and I hope it works out. I will be calling Ford on Monday.
