Suspension upgrade and warranty

I am planning on changing out my suspension on my 2012 gt. I had decided on steeda sport springs, steeda hd plates, and Koni sport shocks and struts. I assumed that this would void my warranty on the suspension parts I pulled off. I was ok with this. I've read on some threads here that it also voids the brakes and even other unrelated parts. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks, I've read the manual. I was hoping to hear about personal experiences regarding this and maybe even from ford customer service.

Op...it's up to your dealer. I would check with them. If they can link the failure to your new suspension products, then yes they can void things. This is why I'm making sure my front lca's are fixed before I lower it. That way they can't blame my springs. I doubt you'll have too many issues though.

Mr V.

Did you end up purchasing and installing the parts? Would love to see a picture and how the car turned out.

Best Regards,

TJ

Not yet. Some confusion and warranty fear caused me to put it on hold. Just recently found a dealer that won't void my whole suspension and brakes warranty because I changed my springs and shocks. Christmas will keep me from doing the change till January. I'll post after that.

Let me know if I can help you out on the set of Koni's. I wouldn't worry too much about voiding your warranty when doing suspension work. Aftermarket parts need to be the deciding factor to OEM parts failing.

Thank you for replying! As I further mod ill see what you guys offer. I spoke to Sam Strano about the Koni sport, steeda sport spring, and hd strut mount set up I mentioned. I'll be buying them from him in January. I was a sales manager for 12 years and always try and buy from those that offer me their time and advice. I will see what you guys offer in regards to my other future purchases.
