squeaky annoying passenger window

Ever since I bought my GT 9 days ago I've noticed an annoying squeaking sound. I thought it was the back seat somewhere, but this morning realized its my passenger window. I know this because every time the window is slightly down no noise, every time its fully up squeaky annoying noise. Is this something I can take to the dealer and fix under warranty?

Before you take it in try using some windex to clean the window molding, and the top edge of the window. Could be some dirt or something causing the squeak. If that doesn't do the trick, take 'er to the dealer.

Thought I had a chattering noise in the dash... Soon realized it was the button on my garage door opener.

Noisy speaker on drivers side was self diagnosed as my house keys rattling in the adjacent map pocket.

I hope the OP's issue is also as easily fixed.

Don't use windex on tinted windows; after long use, it discolors the tint.

It takes a lot of Windexing to get that squeak to go away. I had it for a few months, and it came back every time it rained. So I think it's something in the rubber and you just have to keep cleaning it off the top of the windows. You can see the "stain" from it on the windows where they meet the rubber if you don't clean it for a while.

If you have tinted windows the place where you got it done shoukd have given you or had to purchase a bottle with a silicone solution to use on the part of the window that's tinted. DON'T use windex!

I don't have tinted windows. I haven't touched the car since I purchased it a few weeks ago. So is the squeaking due to debris on window, or rubber that window goes into?

LOL, I know. I had a vibration like a buzzing noise coming from the header just over the drivers head. It was the vanity mirror cover.

I think it's stuff leaching out of the rubber when it gets wet, some moulding (release?) agent. The more it rains or the more you wash the car, probably the quicker the squeak goes away. e.g. my '13 doesn't have it now, and hasn't for quite a while and it's about 10 months old. Bottom line it's not a defect per se, no need to worry. IMO let the car settle/break in/etc. and by your first oil change you may or may not have a small list of things for them to look at.
