If I can $300-$350 I'd be happy and make the new hood money not feel so bad. To be honest any decent offer I'll take so I don't have to figure out how to get rid of it.

I posted my hood on Craigslist and it sold in 4 days. I listed it for $300 and I ended up taking $200.

I had my 2014 DIB done twice about 8 months apart. The first time they had no guide to do it and am not sure exactly what they did do. the second time they followed the guide. So far it looks good, but hasn't been 6 months yet. I am still sitting on a set of white GT-500 lemans stripes to put on the car for over a year now.

Well I am sad to say, its back. the folded over edge between the headlamp and where it raises to go over the grille is bubbling.
All I can say Is I am bummed. I will try and see what the dealer will do (an hour away) but he has already painted it twice so far.
I am still sitting on that stripe kit.
Also on another note, the drive shaft still vibrates.
After almost 5 years I am about to give up and buy aftermarket drive shaft (I hear the axle exchange is recommended) and either buy a new hood or go aftermarket.

I had this same issue had to fight with ford but finally called Detroit and they covered 50% if this happens again i will just go with an aftermarket hood, sounds like a problem with anything aluminum used on cars or trucks

I bought my Axle Exchange aluminum driveshaft from American Muscle over 7 years ago and has been perfect. American Muscle still sells the Axel Exchange driveshaft but under the SR Performance name.

I guess I lucked out on my 05 GT, the hood still looks like new. The first 9 years of its life was garage parked and only driven 6 months of the year. Its a daily driver for me, but I wax it 1 or 2 times a year

I just noticed yesterday that the leading edge now has the typical "beginning of the end" for my hood. Until recently there was only a tiny bit of corrosion and it was limited to places that were hard to see.

This is a car with 35k miles that has never seen snow/salt, seldom seen rain, garage-kept for 95% of it's existence. It's downright infuriating, honestly.

Agreed! After the second round of corrosion coming back I opted for a Cervini hood. The sad thing is I liked the OEM hood and the way it looked on my car, but I couldn't go through another wasted attempt at a repair.

It's frustrating but has nothing to do with weather or care; it's bad paint prep at the factory. Go Cervinis.

I have the same on my 2015 GT
