Exclamation Fix: Leaking Brake Fluid Reservoir!

If this has been posted already, pardon my re-post;I'm hoping this helps some of the other newbs avoid a potential melt down scenario.

Just a heads-up to you people out there who are experiencing some leakage from the brake fluid reserv. I noticed a few drops around the base of the container last week and after some research, it seems there is a factory overfill condition present in the majority of these new cars. Please check yours - mine was about 2 oz over. Leak fixed.

Yeah, I didn't realize it was still an issue. I just let mine do it's thing, and it hasn't ever leaked any more. Just make sure it doesn't get on anything important/visible.

You might want to watch for the paint bubbling and then peeling where the fluid leaked. On the other forum this was noticed and one of the what to look for when picking up your car items. My 13 GT500 and a bunch of others were overfilled. Had the dealer remove about 2 ounces but some of the earlier ones did leak due to this and the paint started to peel. Good luck!
