Advice on slight cutting out/hesitation issue

Well heres a little background info. The engine is completely stock, air filter and all. It has Bassani aftercat X and Borla Stypes. Its a nice weather car only and has about 6500 miles and otherwise is absolutely perfect...

Well I noticed yesterday on occasion when getting into the throttle (WOT and not) and passing thru the 3800-5000 RPM range I get some kind of cutting out. Not sure if that's the right term. It's best described as I'm being planted in the seat and then when it happens you just feel the lack of pull. Then it picks up again. I've noticed it in 4th and 5th gears so far and possibly 3rd. It happens every now and then, other times it pulls strong right thru the band.

Any ideas what this could be? Or has anyone had this experience before? Thanks guys.

Yep, mine acts pretty similar if I don't let it warm up before driving.

What kind of fuel are you using? Could possibly be a bad tank of gas.

I had a problem with this when dropping down a gear and slamming the go pedal. Would studder, pop and then pick up. embarrasing when when you know someone wants to see it go. I discovered in my case that it was the traction control. So try turning it of and see if you get the same reaction.

All my experiences were at full operating temp. I am way up at like 50-80 when this happens so I wasn't thinking TC, but I'll try it after turning it off. I'll go advancetrac off.

I did think maybe some bad gas. But I thought Id have issues all thru the band. I'm gonna give it a few runs in about 2 days and see.

Hey 2012GTCS,

Let your Ford dealer check it out, and PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area.

Anyone have any other ideas on this before I take it to Ford? I've seen very few threads for 11+ mustangs doing this. People have said it's normal, but that's a total crock pot. Should run smoothly to redline. It falls on its face at about 4000 when not under full throttle but like 60-80%

Mine has cut out 3 times in 2 years. Twice when downshifting and one when shifting to a higher gear. Never took it in and it's been quite a few months since the last time.

2011 GT Premium, 400A, MT82, Airaid CAI, JLT oil separator, GT500 axle backs, BMR panhard bar.
