My seats are doing the same thing, I thought it was normal until I read the posts just now. To be honest I didn't want leather seats with my stang, I wanted fabric as very little upkeep if any. Keysha what should I do as I know when I report this to the dealer they will say its normal. I started seeing this at around 7,000 miles and thought nothing of it? (untill now) and the car has a little over 12,000 on it now.

 

P.S.
This is my first car that had leather seats. So this is why I thought it normal.

I have a 2010 Roush mustang in which the drivers seat has worn at the stitching. The vehicle has only 15K on it. The dealer says they will fix it, but I am awaiting to hear if it will be replaced or repaired. i am a normal sized guy and I also have a 2010Gt which I have put almost 40k on with no wear on the seat.

 

I just started to get a crack in my leather (2013 Mustang GT/Premium). The crack is around the left side of the thigh bolster and is a quarter of inch long. I'll snap some pictures when its back from the dealership.

Dave, hate to burst your bubble, but that part of the seat isn't leather. It's vinyl just like your Dad's 1978 LTD. I have these same seats in my '12 GT "Premium". There is more vinyl and fabric in these seats than leather. for an upgraded premium package, it's pathetic. If is makes you feel any better, the $60+ K Shelby has the same seats ( unless you get the Recaros). Oh well, I guess the FoMoCo stockholders are happy.

 

Hmmm. I thought the fronts were leather. It doesn't really matter im just mad that this is happening so early on in the cars life. Especially since I condition the "leather" every few months.

 

I am currently experiencing the same issue with our 2014 and Ford will be replacing the back of the drivers seat .
