I guess there is a new version of the Sync out, Im trying to download it to a thumb drive but I'll be dammed if I can.. Im using Win 7 with Firefox V9 and IE9. What Im having trouble with is Active X for IE and Java for Firefox. Neither will actualy get past the stage telling me I need to enable Active X. THe walk thoughs only cover FF up to 2.0 and IE up to 8. Ive tried following just what they say...


I did get it downloaded once but teh car just told me File Not found...

 

I can't remember but the usb thumbdrive has to be properly formatted...can't remember if it is FAT32 or the other one NFTS

 

One of the "chat help' people said FAT32. Which isnt much issue, its that I cant even get to a point to download the file.

On IE I get to a screen telling me I need to click accept on Active x To begin the download but that screen or button never comes up.. On Firefox I just get a box that looks like its thinking and never does anything else

 

I use google chrome for everything.

you may want to check your internet security settings, that may be where your issue is

 

I have version 3.1, is there a newer version for the 2011 V6 Mustang?

 

Finally got it to update.

 

What did you do differently that finally worked?

 

No idea.. I was using both my Desktop and Laptop. Finally my laptop downloaded it.

I think the issue with the car not seeing the file was that the format of the Thumbdrive has to be FAT32 not NFTS

Oddly.. I now cant get it to "confirm" it successfully updated on the sync site now.

If you currently have 3.1, that's the latest version available at this time.

I just commented on another post of yours. I'm happy to hear you were able to get it downloaded, but have you been able to confirm it on the website yet? PM me and I'll look into it further.
