Just got back from getting my key cut at the lock smith. The key works great. The trunk button has a slightly longer delay but its not an issue for me. The running horse sticker is a perfect fit. The website for te logo stickers is www.all3dstickers.com

All in all this is a really cool aftermarket key and the price was nice.

$25 for the key
$4 for the cut
$5 to program
$6 for the 8 pack of logos

Grand total of $40.00 👍

Dealers charge about $225 for and oem key without the flip key part.

I found the 5.0 sticker auction and then clicked ask seller a question. Sent him a photo of a the logo I wanted in a 14mm size. He said to just buy the 5.0 auction and he would send me a set with the running horse.

Here's what I did from start to finish:

1) I programmed my remote to the car. This took me two tries. The first time, I had the driver's door closed and it didn't work. Second time, I had the driver's door open, and it worked like a charm! Directions are HERE.

2) Took the key to a locksmith (NOT Home Depot or Lowes - both of mine said they couldn't do it). He had the old-fashioned dual-key grinder thing, put in my factory key, my new flip key, and in about 30 seconds, had it cut perfectly. He took it out to my car, tested in the door, and even offered to program it for me (I have directions, did it myself). Cost: $15 even.

3) I then programmed the new key in his parking lot using the two-key method found HERE. It took all of 30 seconds.

That's it! I now have my very own Flip Key for my 2014 Mustang GT, complete with GT logo!!!

WOOHOO!!!

Clicked on the linked punched in my 2013 Mustang GT and it says "This part is not compatible with 2013 Ford Mustang GT". Did you get this message also and it still works on you 2014 Mustang GT?

TIA.

Awesome write up!
Do your other 2 keys still function, or did you have any problems w/ them?

I assume they work fine. Once I got this up and running, they went into my paperwork folder in my desk. I see no reason they wouldn't work - I think you can have up to 8 keys coded to your car...

Mine still work fine. The flip key didn't replace anything, I just added it to my current keys.

Just ordered 2 of these and an 8-pack of running-pony stickers.
There goes $50 but holy cow when I think of how much a dealer would charge for a fob/key and programming ... ugh ... I was a Writer, I know it all too well, lol

i bought 2 of these keys back in 2012 and the first one came apart ( not very strong when used as a screw driver) and even after i put it back together it didnt work. the key physically worked but the electronics didnt. but the other one is still working fine after about 2 years.
